A clean sweep for EastEnders.
BBC1 soap EastEnders had a clean sweep at the TV Quick Awards last night, picking up five trophies while arch rival Coronation Street took home none.Albert Square's finest landed the best soap title, while the gripping Who Shot Phil Mitchell nailbiter was named top storyline.
Jessie Wallace, who plays Kat Slater, was named best new actress and Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Jackson) landed the best soap actress award after a year in which viewers saw her become a teenage single mum and give the baby for adoption.
Martin Kemp -- who is to leave EastEnders next year - took the best soap actor prize for his role as Steve Owen. He played a central role in the Phil Mitchell shooting plot which captivated the soap-watching nation and took the best soap storyline prize, the first time Corrie has been empty-handed in the category.
Other awards went to Channel 4's Graham Norton - best entertainment show - and David Jason - best actor for his role as grumpy detective Jack Frost.
