Urban Sculpture:
The semester began with a captivating journey into the realm of public art and urban design through the Urban Sculpture project. Our task was to
create a sculpture that not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of an urban setting but also engaged with its surroundings, acting as a focal point
for community interaction. This project encouraged me to think critically about the role of art in the public domain. It involved thorough site analysis,
considering the historical, cultural, and social context of the chosen location. Through sketching, model-making, and digital design tools, I explored
various forms, materials, and their interplay with light and space. The challenge was to strike a balance between artistic expression and the
sculpture's functional and contextual relevance. This project nurtured my creative thinking and problem-solving skills, reminding me of the
profound impact that architecture and art can have on communities.
Community Hub :
The Community Hub project marked a significant milestone in my architectural education as it introduced me to the world of Building Information
Modeling (BIM) using Autodesk Revit. This was my first experience with this powerful software, and the learning curve was steep. However, it was
a rewarding challenge that pushed me to develop a new set of skills. Designing a community hub demanded a comprehensive understanding of
the needs and aspirations of the community it served. The project's emphasis on sustainability and energy efficiency added another layer of
complexity that broadened my knowledge of contemporary architectural practices.
