PREPOSITIONS
I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
a. define prepositions and explain its usage,
b. identify prepositions in the text,
c. use prepositions in sentences and,
d. apply prepositions in communication.

III. Procedures
A. Preliminary Activities
a. Prayer
The teacher will ask a student to lead an opening prayer.
b. Greetings
The teacher will greet the students
c. Classroom management
The teacher will request the students to pick up all the pieces of paper
under the chair and arrange their chairs properly.
d. Checking of Attendance
The teacher will check the attendance and take note of the student/s who are
absent
e. Grouping
The teacher will divide the class into four groups for the upcoming activity.
B. Motivation
The teacher will lead the class in singing a song about an axolotl and a penguin, with
lyrics containing various prepositions. After the song, the teacher will ask the students to
reflect on the lyrics and share their thoughts on what they think the lesson will be about.
C. Presentation and Discussion
The teacher presents the topic for the day and posts the day’s objectives that they will
attain. The teacher explains that prepositions show relationships of location, space,
time, and direction in a sentence.

D. Activity
Students will be given sentences with missing prepositions. Each team will receive a
specific preposition (e.g., "in"). They must correctly place it in the given sentences on
the board. The fastest team to complete all sentences correctly wins.
IV. Generalization
The teacher will summarize the key points of the lesson and reinforce the correct usage
of prepositions through a brief review and class discussion.
V. Assessment
The teacher will administer a short quiz consisting of 10 items about Prepositions.
