GENERAL AND SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
General Objectives:
At the end of the week, I will be able to:
• Gain more knowledge, skills, and a good attitude in dealing with the patients.
• Learn more knowledge about different diseases in the clinical area.
• Apply our learning and skills from our previous rotations.
• Acquire more skills during the course of our exposure.
• Attend to the patient’s concerns and provide therapeutic care.
• Acquire important and needed information from the patient and accomplish all
necessary task.
Specific Objectives:
At the end of 8 hours clinical duty, I will be able to:
• Establish a nurse-patient relationship.
• Apply the knowledge gained from last week's ward class discussions.
• Render specific nursing intervention to individual patients.
• Take and record the vital signs accurately.
• Give the very best to provide patient care.
• Gain understanding of the disease process of the patient’s condition.

2:30 – 2:40 pm Arrival at the area
2:40 – 2:50 pm Changing appropriate attire according to
the unit’s standard
(Type C – with apron and cap)
2:50 – 2:55 pm Prayer
2:55 – 3:00 pm Pre-conference
3:00 – 4:00 pm Start Assessment, Vital Sign
taking/monitoring and plotting, checking of
IV level, and IV computation
4:00 – 5:00 pm Bedside care and health teachings for
patient
5:00 – 5:30 pm Carry out due medications and giving due
meds
5:30 – 6:00 pm Rechecking patient’s chart for new
doctor’s order or updates
6:00 – 7:00 pm Giving another due meds and keep on
monitoring the patient
7:00 – 7:30 pm Dinner Break
7:30 – 8:00 pm Rechecking Vital signs, I&O and IV, and
carry out medications
8:00 – 9:00 pm Plotting of Chart
9:00 – 9:30 pm Post-conference
9:30 – 9:35 pm Prayer
9:35 – 10:00 pm End of Shift
