LESSON PLAN

IN TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION- BASIC TABLE NAPKIN FOLDING

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
a. Identify a basic napkin folding
b. Fold different types of napkin folding;
c. Participate actively in folding a napkin.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Basic Napkin Folding
Materials: Table Napkin, DLP and laptop for power point and video presentation.
Reference: Food Service and Bartending Revise edition-2018 page 149-158

III. Procedure:
A. Preparation

Before we start the lesson,


Everybody stand for a prayer.

Napkin folding- is a type of decorative


folding done with a napkin. It can be
an art. Napkin folding is most
commonly encountered as a table
decoration in fancy restaurants.
Typically, and for best results,
a clean, pressed, and starched
square cloth (linen or cotton) napkin is used.
Napkin Folding comes from Charlotte
Birnbaum, who along with folding
artist Joan Sallas co-created a history
of napkin art in the book “The Beauty of
the Fold”, says the change from "folded
cloth to folded art" occurred in 16th
Century in Florence, Italy.

This time we are going to fold 7 basic
