III. Procedure
A. Reviewing the previous lesson or presenting the new lesson
The teacher will present a poem.
B. Establishing the purpose for the lesson
The teacher will elaborate the poem presented.
C. Presenting examples/instances of the new lesson
Share a Filipino folk song that expresses emotions and ask students how the lyrics
make them feel.
D. Discussing new concepts and presenting new skills #1
The teacher will provide a lecture on the different elements of a poem, such as
rhyme, rhythm, meter, figurative language, and theme. Students will actively
participate in the discussion by asking questions and sharing their insights.
E. Discussing new concepts and presenting new skills #2
Students will work in pairs or small groups to perform a dramatic reading or recitation
of a poem. They will focus on using vocal expression, gestures, and body language
to effectively convey the emotions and meaning of the poem.
F. Developing mastery
Divide the class into small groups and assign each group a different emotion (e.g.,
happiness, sadness, anger). Ask them to create a 3 to four stanza poem that
showcases the assigned emotion.

Ask the students to recall a recent experience that made them feel a strong emotion.
