Dedication

I am dedicating this portfolio, as result of my hard work and perseverance, to my

Parents and to my Relatives, the reasons as to who am I today, who keeps pushing me

to do things that will make me happy and will help me grow as a better person

To Ms. Emma D. Borilla, work immersion supervisor, for being very considerate,

patient, and understanding to me. The trust you have given me is too overwhelming and

I am gladly used that as a motivation to do my best in every task you assigned to us.

To Grade 12 – TVL HE, my classmates, despite our differences it didn’t stop us in

becoming close, united, and fun section for 2 years. It is a long time for us to be

together and unfortunately it’s nearly coming to its end. Let’s make the remaining

months the most of it.

To my friends, we’ve always have each other’s back and support in any

circumstances and for that I’m really grateful. Here’s to more years of friendship!

To God, Our Almighty Father, who never fails to give me guidance and strengths in

everything that I do. My faith in you always keeps me going.

iv
Acknowledgement

Through the help of people who loved, supported, and trusted me, I have

finished my work immersion with learnings that urge me to do well for my future

endeavor.

To my Family, especially my parents, for being an inspiration and motivators in

everything that I do and for always being there for me in any circumstances. For the

unconditional love and support you’ve given me all throughout the years, I couldn't ask

for more.

To Ms. Imelda D. Boragay, our beloved school principal, who have made this

successful work immersion possible for every Grade 12 - TVL HE of Komensky College

and enable us to become ready for the possible challenges we’ll be facing in the future.

To Ms. Emma D. Borilla as Work Immersion Supervisor, for accommodating and

guiding us throughout the work immersion.

To Ms. Abegail P. Policarpio, our work immersion adviser, despite of actively

engaged guiding the students who undergo on work immersion, thank you for

generously giving us your time to prepare and honed us well emotionally and mentally,

before starting the work immersion.

To Ms. Diana M. San Diego, for accompanying us on the first day of work

immersion and for always keeping tabs on what we do and reminding us on what is right

and important. We truly appreciate your valuable guidance, support, and words of

encouragement. Your advice also helped us to focus on some of the most important

contribution for this work.

To Ms. Katherine B. Buendia, our class adviser, for always supporting and

encouraging us to become a better version of ourselves.

To Mr. Oliver Quizon, our school coordinator, thank you for distribution of our

modules during this pandemic. Thank you to all of you for giving us the opportunity to

have such memorable and fun experience!

v
Letter to the Readers

I made this portfolio for you to know me better when I am outside of school and read

what I learned in it. I want this portfolio to show not only my work but also how I learned

the lessons for the past year of studying and my improvements. I can say one of the

most important things I learned while doing all of these projects is to grow up. I just want

to say that I am thankful to be part of KOMENSKY COLLEGE to make work immersion

possible at home, since we are facing pandemic. I learn a lot about Cooking and I am

proud to serve my works to my parents and to all of you, some housekeeping doing’s.

I’m thankful to that our work immersion teacher is very kind and patient.

We are all graduating students of Komensky College. But before we all graduate, we

went first with struggles to achieve our goals as students. There comes so many

assignments, projects to be pass soon, activities at school just like this work immersion.

It is very important that we have this work immersion because this is the best way to

show what we’ve learned for the past year and also to experience it for the short period

of time, for us to be ready to real world. Work immersion doesn’t mean that you will

work with others just to pass the activities but we do this to mingle and learn about

them. Work immersion also helps us to be knowlegable how businesses and employees

undertake to be more productive or successful with their works. This activity of school

helps us to put our learnings at school in real situations.

My Personal Prayer

God of truth, I confess that I often bring anxiety and strife down upon

myself because I fail to listen well to you and to others. Your word tells

me to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.

May I remember to take that important time with you before I head to

work, just listening to you through your word and your Spirit and

receiving your peace. Help me quietly listen to others at work, so I can

understand and be helpful to my colleagues.

Amen.

My Philosophy in Life as A Student

Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.
~Albert Einstein

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason
for existing.
~Albert Einstein

viii
Introduction

Work Immersion is one of the course requirements for graduating students. A

Senior High School student has to undergo Work Immersion in an industry that directly

relates to the student’s postsecondary goal. Through Work Immersion, the students are

exposed to and become familiar with work-related environment related to their field of

specialization to enhance their competence. Specifically, the students are able to: Gain

relevant and practical industrial skills under the guidance of industry experts and

workers; Appreciate the importance and application of the principles and theories taught

in school; Enhance their technical knowledge and skills; Enrich their skills in

Communications and human relations; and develop good work habits, attitudes,

appreciation, and respect for work. These prepare them to meet the needs and

challenges of employment or higher education after graduation.

As part of the K-12 program, we are Grade 12 students are all required to go

through Work Immersion based and connected on our strand and specialization. It

enables us to gain and to enhance our knowledge and skills that will help us in what the

future holds upon us. This portfolio exhibits my journey and experience throughout my

Work Immersion at home. Since we are facing the pandemic, we are not allowed to take

the real work immersion on a company. It will display the importance of work immersion,

background of the workplace, accomplishment reports, reflections, and photos from the

immersion. After completing the 10 days of work immersion at home, I want to give my

utmost respect and appreciation to every student who undergo work immersion at home

because having a work immersion at home is not as easy as some people thought it

might be. Work requires your body physically and mentally, to be fit and also financially

for our own needs. You’ll be faced with obstacles that will challenge your ability. But at

the end of the day, it will help you grow and become a better version of yourself.
