c. justify the significance of “5W’s and 1H question”.

Let us play the game “FORMULATE ME!”.
I have here a flashcard, all you have to do is
to formulate a questions based on what is
being written on this flashcard. I need 6
volunteers to answer.
Remember class, for those who participate
in my class will have a corresponding point.

and how questions”
This term used to refer to questions starting
with “Wh and H”.
Who – the answer is a person or
animal.
Example:
Who is your favorite singer?

Who hash my shoe? (animal)
What – it is used to ask about
specific things, idea, information
and action.
Example:
What are you holding?
(thing)
What are you thinking
about? (idea)
What kind of pet you have?
(information)
What are you doing?
(action)
Where –ask question about place
or position.
Example:
Where did you live?
When – it used to ask about time,
occasion and moment.
Example:
When can I go on vacation?
Why – it is used to ask about
reason and explanation.
Example:
Why are you crying?
Why do you say that?
How – it is used to ask about
number, condition, quality, may,
manner, and the way things.
Example:
How can I have solved this?

story. All you have to do is to formulate a
5W’s and 1h question.
Select a reporter in each group to present
your work.
You will have 5 minutes to formulate and 2
minutes to report your work.

test. Abby was excited to go home and eat
her ice cream.”

“Good morning! My name is Amanda and I
am 15 years old. My favorite activity is to do
arts and crafts. I do this activity
approximately twice a week. I do arts and
crafts in my bedroom at my house. I like
doing this activity because it’s relaxing and I
love creating pretty things. Usually, I do arts
and crafts with my friend Kate and with my
sister Mary. When I do this activity, I feel
good, relaxed and very happy.”

“Oliver the Octopus was swimming around
the ocean. He was looking for his friend (students are doing their works)
Larry the Lobster. He wanted to tell him
about the boat he saw. After swimming for
two hours, he finally found Larry the Lobster
hiding behind coral.”
