Art Critique

Instruction: Analyze the image flashed on the screen by the teacher. It is a graffiti done by the famous UK artist
Banksy. Give your commentary about it. Your answer will be evaluated using the rubric below.

The graffiti was influenced by overpowering use of technology. In the picture, there is a couple hugging
each other but both are distracted by using their cellphones. For me, I think the purpose of the picture is to
inform its audience. We all know that using technologies have positive effects and benefits for people and
society but it is also addictive to anyone who uses their cellphones frequently which can cause side effects
that leads to serious negative effects. In the picture, it shows that this addiction could ruin your relationships
with others such as the people you mostly care about (family, friends, relatives, etc..).
