    Narrative Report on Remedial Instruction in


    21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World

    Nowadays, almost every school deals with students who have problems in their learning capacity or what we
    call “slow learners” which often results to dropouts, repetition or absenteeism.

    In this regard, remedial classes were conducted for those students need special attention. In this way, the
    teacher can help motivate and encourage the learner to put extra effort to learn and to catch up with his/her
    classmates. This may also help avoid problems in the future.

    The main objectives of the remedial instruction is to utilize assessment data, to inform the modification of
    teaching and learning practices and programs. In line with this, teachers provide enrichment activities to the
    learners for the mastery of least learned competencies. These have been done for the entire second semester.

    All the objectives were completed and have attained satisfactorily results.
