Pressed down the 9” x 36” printed cotton cloth facing its right side upward
on a flat surface.
On top of the printed fabric, place the 27” x 36” plain cotton cloth with
its right side facing down, fasten along the hem line using pins.
Roll the bottom of fabric upward going to the pinned hem line.
Stitch the three layers of fabric together to make a casing. Pull out the
fabric inside the casing.
Fold the fabric facing wrong sides together and sew along the raw edge.
Turn inside out, open the seam line, crease along line and sew again the
edges to come up with a french seam.

Preparing the Materials before Cutting
1. Folding - Fold the cloth and place it in a basin of water
2. Soaking - Soak it overnight to test and find out if it will shrink.
3. Drying - Hang the cloth without squeezing or wringing
4. Stretching - Stretch the cloth on all sides until the horizontal and
vertical threads are in-line with each other
5. Pressing – Press the material, moving the iron in an up and down
motion to remove wrinkles and folds.
