Since only teachers were allowed on campus for disinfection, the teachers planned a lunch and celebration together on their day off to commemorate World Teachers' Day.

    BDIS Celebrates World Teachers Day!


    According to the quote of an unknown person, “Teaching is the one profession that creates all other
    professions.” It imparts that teachers are the source of inspiration and they encourage students to live better lives and
    become excellent leaders in their chosen paths. The Philippines began its celebration of the National Teacher’s Month
    last September 5 until October 5 which had been declared by the United Nations as World Teachers’ Day.
    World Teachers’ Day represents a significant effort to raise awareness, understanding and appreciation for the
    vital contribution that teachers make to education and development across the globe. With this, B. Durano Integrated
    School took part and prepared different activities and programs for the school – based celebration of World Teacher’s
    Day.
    October 4, 2022, the SPG and SSG Federation prepared a surprise program headed by the SSG President
    Loveniel Dayon and SPG President Sophia Kate Batoon. After the class of morning session that was 11:15 in the
    morning, the SPG & SSG buddies gathered all the teachers in the stage and students in the school activity ground for a
    short program hosted by Adrian Gomez. The organization made an origami flowers and bouquet for the teachers with
    cheesy and sweet messages. They also entertain the teachers through a dance and song presentation. Chosen students
    in each grade level delivered a messages and a sweet thought to the teachers. The students prepared some gifts,
    flowers and cards to their teachers as a sign of gratitude to them. It was just a simple yet very meaningful and touching
    celebration prepared by the SPG & SSG Federation since they also need to follow the “no classes should be disrupted”
    policy. Teachers are very grateful and thankful for all the efforts of the students. Indeed, we can say that we really
    touch their lives and inspire them to be the best version of themselves in the future. “THANK YOU STUDENTS!”
    Since, Wednesday is disinfection day, teachers are only allowed to enter the school. Yet, this is the time for us
    to celebrate together the World Teachers Day, we planned to have a lunch together and a short program. Last week,
    we agreed on what and how we will celebrate this day for teachers and we ended to have it in school. We do
    contribution to the foods and assigned committees for the preparation of the celebration. Funny it is in the viral post in
    the facebook “Na si teacher ang magplano, Si teacher ang gagawa, Si teacher ang mag – ambag at si teacher...” But we
    enjoyed it a lot since the plan was successful. We enjoy eating the food we prepared together and found out that there
    are teachers are really good in cooking yet undiscovered. After the lunch, we breathe in and breathe out and begin the
    short program and games.
