The book outlines different lighting setups and camera settings for portrait photography. It also provides a link to download color grading presets.

Six different lighting setups are described involving different combinations of main lights, fill lights, and modifiers. The setups are used for portraits, headshots, and beauty photography.

The author mentions tweaking the setups by changing modifiers, light intensity, and camera settings to suit different conditions and achieve different looks. Color gels are also used to 'spice up' images.

SYNOPSIS

This book extensively outlines how I setup my lighting to create

exceptional images. It also contains camera settings, modifier types &
and a link to my “color-grade like Amazing Klef” digital kit which is
available on my store (www.theamazingklefstore.com) but has been
included for free.

Before I allow you dive in and start creating amazing images, I must
remind you that one of the secrets to being a sought-after photographer
is adding your touch to every image you create. So, take these setups,
customise & modify them to work for you. You don’t have to follow
everything exactly as it is written, if something is not working for you –
adjust it to suit your conditions and environment

Can’t wait to see your magic.

SETUP 1:

Main light: Godox AD600 @1/8 in 120cm Octa box feathered horizontally over the subject

Fill: Large silver Reflector placed at chest level

Camera Settings:
Nikon D750 or Canon EOS-r
85mm or 50mm
Aperture: f6, f7 or f8
ISO: 100
Shutter Speed: 1/125 or 1/160
I use this light setup to shoot a lot; from headshots, simple portraits for campaigns, music artists,
professionals to creative beauty images. I build my other lighting setups off this.
NB: You can tweak this setup to achieve different results, like using a parabolic umbrella instead of the
octa box or a beauty dish or whatever modifier you desire. You can also play around with light intensity &
camera settings ------This light setup was used to shoot the next set of images.
SETUP 2:

Main light: Godox AD600 @1/8 in 120cm Octa box feathered horizontally over the subject
Fill 1: Godox AD600 @1/8 or 1/16 in 7ft Parabolic Umbrella placed camera right or left in front of subject.
Fill 2: Large silver Reflector placed directly opposite fill one.

Camera Settings:
Nikon D750 or Canon EOS-r
50mm 0r 35mm
Aperture: f7 or f8
ISO: 100 or 125
Shutter Speed: 1/125 or 1/160
This is my trade mark setup!! I call this the CLEAN Portraits setup.
NB: You can tweak this setup to achieve different results, like using different modifiers or adding props etc.
This light setup was used to shoot the next set of images.
SETUP 3:

Main light: Godox AD600 @1/8 in beauty dish or whatever modifier wokrs feathered horizontally over the
subject or otherwise.
Side lights: Godox AD600 @1/16 or 1/8 in reflectors (cones) with or without colour gels
Fill: Large silver Reflector placed at chest level

Camera Settings:
Nikon D750 or Canon EOS-r
50mm, 85mm 0r 35mm
Aperture: f8 or f7
ISO: 100 or 125
Shutter Speed: 1/125 or 1/160
I use colour gels a lot to spice my shoots up, they create a high key effect and when used properly can take
images from basic to maddddd!!! This lighting setup with or without gels is what I used to create the next
set of images. I add an extra light sometimes, put a colour gel on all the lights, replace a modifier or take
one or two lights off to create something different. I also use fog, water, garri and other elements to make
the images more interesting; BTS videos of my shoots are on my Instagram

SETUP 4:

Main light: Godox AD600 @1/8 or 1/4 in cone/reflector without grid pointed at the model as shown in
diagram or in whatever directions projects the look you’re trying to achieve.

Camera Settings:
Nikon D750 or Canon EOS-r
50mm or 35mm
Aperture: F7 or F6
ISO: 100 or 125
Shutter Speed: 1/125 or 1/160
Sometimes I add a fill light or reflector to soften the shadows, I also replace the cone with other modifiers.
This is a hard-light setup I use mostly for fashion looks and people with great skin.
You can also add a gel to the cone to get a different result. See next set of images for what I’ve created
with this setup.
SETUP 5:

Main light: Godox AD600 @1/8 or 1/4 in 120cm Octa box feathered horizontally over the subject
Background: 7ft Parabolic Umbrella placed some inches behind subject
Fill: Large silver Reflector placed at chest level or otherwise

Camera Settings:
Nikon D750 or Canon EOS-r
85mm 0r 50mm
Aperture: f8 or f7
ISO: 100 or 125
Shutter Speed: 1/125 or 1/160
This setup is pretty easy, I use this for headshots & creative portraits.
SETUP 6:

Main light: Godox AD600 @1/8 in a beauty dish with colour gels above subject
Background light: Godox AD600 @1/8 in a cone with colour gels behind model, pointed at the background
Fill: Large silver Reflector placed at chest level or none for full images

Camera Settings:
Nikon D750 or Canon EOS-r
85mm or 50mm
Aperture: f8 or f7
ISO: 100 or 125
Shutter Speed: 1/125 or 1/160
This setup can be used with or without gels.
Side lights can also be introduced & modifiers can be changed to achieve desired texture
The images below can be shot with any of the light setups above but with a shutter speed of “1” or”2”
