LESSON OBJECTIVES
CONTENT STANDARD:
The learner demonstrates understanding of the musical characteristics of representative music
from the lowlands of Luzon.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
The learner performs music of the lowlands with appropriate pitch, rhythm, expression and style
LEARNING COMPETENCIES:
 Performs music from Luzon lowlands with own accompaniment; MU7LU-la-h-7
 Evaluates music and music performances with rubrics on musical elements and styles;
MU7LU-lc-h-10

At the end of the session, students are expected to:


a. critique music performances with rubrics on musical elements and styles
b. create a musical performance from Luzon lowlands using the instruments they
made as accompaniment, and
c. promote cultural awareness through their performance.

- How are these instruments classified?
- As a student, how will you promote the Music of the Lowlands of Luzon?

2. MOTIVATIONAL ACTIVITY:
Students will watch a video of a musical performance using the instruments of lowlands
Luzon.

3. ACTIVITY
Students will watch a video of a musical performance using the instruments of lowlands
Luzon.

4. ANALYSIS
The class will examine their own performances.
GUIDE QUESTIONS:
 What was the video about?
 What instruments were used in the video?
5. ABSTRACTION
The teacher will now explain to the students the criteria they will use in evaluating
their peers’ performances.

PRESENTATION OF PERFOMANCE TASK

Students will rate their peers’ performance using the rubrics presented by the teacher.

The teacher will ask the students to read about the folk arts of highland Luzon.
