Rheyton? (3 points)
2. The Departmental Statistics Exam score in a certain university is in terms of percentile rank.
a. What does the passing mark of 60 imply? (3 points)
The passing mark is 60, therefore scores lower than it are those who failed and scores
higher than it are those who passed
b. If there were 10,000 college students who took the test, how many passed? (4 points)
The information is incomplete and therefore answer is cannot be determined

Student 1:(5 + 8 + 9 + 7 + 6 + 9)/6 = 7.33
Student 2: (7 + 6 + 8 + 5 + 9 + 8)/6 = 7.17
Student 3: (6 + 7 + 8 + 4 + 9 + 8)/6 =7
