where they want to go after senior high school. Beside each
school, they write the course that they want to take up and explain

Education- is a social institution through which a society’s children
are taught basic academic knowledge, learning skills, and cultural
norms.

Socialization-schools offer a new environment, a second home, a


second family with peer groups, a second parents with teachers.

Values Formation- schools mold the character of students by


imbibing in them the values integrated in the courses or subjects
that they take up, as well as the core values that the school
promotes though disciple and habit.

Formal Education-systematic and deliberate process of


hierarchically structured and sequential learning corresponding to
the general concept of elementary and secondary level of
schooling.

Non- Formal Education-any organized, systematic educational


activity carried outside the framework of the formal system to
provide selected type of learning to a segment of the population
e.g., ALS.

Instruction:
The teacher will discuss the Functions and Importance of
Education in the society. The learners will be asked to observe and
take down notes on the important points of the topic.

The functions being played by education towards individual,

TYPES OF EDUCATION
Republic Act No. 9155 known as the Governance of Basic
Education Act of 2001 defines the three types of education in the
Philippines.
1. Formal Education- systematic and deliberate process of
hierarchically structured and sequential learning
corresponding to the general concept of elementary and
secondary level of schooling.
2. Non- Formal Education- any organized, systematic
educational activity carried outside the framework of the
formal system to provide selected type of learning to a

3. Informal Education – lifelong process of learning by which
every person acquires and accumulates knowledge, skills,
attitudes, and insights from daily experiences at home, at
play, and from life itself e.g., Zumba/fitness class, sports,
etc.

(2) according to their hobby and each group will Create an
advocacy of the significance of education amidst this pandemic by
using their unique talent or skills in (writing, composing a
song/poem, art/poster, etc.) Afterwards, is the presentation of their
output in front of the class following the minimum health protocol.
