1. What is the importance of studying Rizal?

 It is necessary in order to understand the qualities that made Dr. Jose Rizal a hero,
such as his bravery and patriotism, which are worthy of admiration and imitation.
Another aspect that is frequently overlooked is his singular approach to
combating colonists. Unlike previous Philippine heroes who utilized violence to
fight the conquerors, Dr. Jose Rizal used pen and paper to infuriate the Spaniards
with his two novels.
2. What relevance does Rizal have in college education?
 The importance of studying Rizal is to appreciate the value of the freedom that we
have today, which Rizal and other warriors battled for in their day.
3. Why Jose Rizal is considered foremost National Hero and not Andres Bonifacio
nor Emilio Aguinaldo?
 Because Jose Rizal was a great supporter of the Propaganda movement. His books
had an important part in inspiring many Filipinos to fight the invaders. He used
his intelligence in writings to expose them in his fight for Filipino freedom.\
4. Explain the significance of the passage of R.A. 1425 which is known as the Rizal
law.
 RA 1425, often known as the Rizal Law, is noteworthy because it details the life
of Jose Rizal, our national hero. As we all know, Rizal may have fought for the
country with his writing rather than his sword, but his works are one of the KKK's
sources of motivation. Knowing Rizal's life is thus more than just knowing about
him. It's more about understanding how we broke free from the Spanish

government's bonds, how they battled for our country and gave their lives in the
process, and most importantly, how we achieved democracy. It's a way of
honoring our national hero, who gave his life for our liberty.

5. If you are one of the senators, will you support or oppose the. Why or why not?
 If I am elected to the Senate, I will vote in favor of the bill because it will
encourage the future generation to be patriotic. One of the most significant
subjects that all students will take because of the setting in which it explains how
to struggle for freedom without hurting others.
6. Do you think the debates on the Rizal Law have some resonance up to the
present? If yes, in what way? If no, why?
 Yes, in a way that aims to awaken a dedicated Filipino in each of us, making us
ready to accept our flaws and expect greater sacrifices to achieve freedom, as well
as value our hero's life during their fight against the Spaniards. Furthermore, the
debates over the Rizal Law show that we Filipinos believe that knowledge of
history can help us become better citizens.
7. What is the effect of the liberalism and democracy to the political changes in the
Philippines during the Spanish time?
 The arrival of liberalism in Spain encouraged the belief that similar reforms could
emerge in the Philippines. New initiatives aimed at raising educational standards
and limiting the Church's growing influence over state powers. Spanish
colonialism in the Philippines resulted in the death of pre-existing and frequently
thriving economic and political centers due to a lack of actual incentives.

 The world, the Spanish Empire, and the Philippines, throughout Jose Rizal's
lifetime, roughly leading to the second part of the 19'th century. It demonstrates
how the economic and social foundations were laid for Rizal and his
contemporaries to conceive of and demand greater autonomy and, eventually,
independence during this period, which coincided with the first era of
globalization, discord within the Spanish Empire, and incipient prosperity in the
archipelago. And Philippine items such as sugarcane and abaca, which were once
thought to be the best rope materials, are now shipped to other countries. Manila
and other cities were open to foreign trade during his period. This was the reason
why the Philippine economy flourished in the 19'th century.

Directions: Write a three-paragraph essay regarding injustices and prejudice that occurred
during Rizal's time and are still occurring now. List some strategies for breaking our country's
poisonous and bad "culture." Use the rubric below to assist you.

Injustice and discrimination were prevalent throughout Rizal's time, and they
still exist now. First, because Filipinos never learn, corruption still exists in our country. We
want a good country, but we keep electing those leaders who doesn't care about the issues of our
country and continues to corrupt. Because we keep making the same mistakes, our country will
never improve nor grow. And, like injustice, we continue to see it not only in the unfair system,
but also in unfair treatment, because even when affluent people are harmed, they can still buy
their way out of their financial issues. So, because we have the capacity to change, we must vote
for the best candidate to lead our country in the correct direction.
There are numerous reasons why individuals remain impoverished. One is the
Philippines' high job requirements; they expect too much and pay too little, which is unfair
because many people want to work but can't because of the high criteria. Another cause is that
many families have multiple children yet lack employment or stable employment. They continue
to produce despite being unable to feed their children, which is a bad thing. As a result, we must
encourage them to learn about family planning and provide more low-wage jobs because not
everyone is a graduate or holds a degree. We can also have volunteers to assist them in learning
about how life works since some individuals continue to leech off others, which is horrible
because they will continue to rely on others and not work or find a just and will simply sit about
waiting for the money to arrive.
Lastly, we continue to face abuse in our lives, not only as a result of our mistreatment,
but also as a result of some government officials abusing their power in order to corrupt and
brainwash the people. Some people continue to use their money to abuse the poor. The greatest
way to do this is to be open and willing to learn what is right, since if we continue to insist on or
push for what is wrong, nothing will change and we will always suffer.
