INTRODUCTION

This is the first time in Philippine history that the entire basic education system had

forego face-to-face classes and adopt various distance learning modalities as modes of

instruction due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Learners started their classes for SY 2020-2021

through either modular, TV or radio-based instruction, online, or a combination of the said

modalities.

While this historic season gave unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19

pandemic, Cabaruan Integrated School achieved offlourishing accomplishments and

recognitions in providing quality education to every Cabisians. The school year 2020-2021

marked a year of continued tradition of successes and accomplishments not just for CABIS

learners but also to CABIS teachers.

Working collaboratively with diverse people makes CABIS a better academic

institution. The partnership among the faculty members and parents and other stake holder of

the school were strengthened to ensure the benefits of every learners.

Cabaruan Integrated School continues to seek growth and opportunities for a safer,

healthier, and kinder place to nurture our future leaders and nation-builders.

The graph shows the Enrolment for School Year 2020-2021 for the Junior
High School of Cabaruan Integrated Schools. It presents the number of enrolees
per grade level. There are a total of 156 students in the Junior High School level.

Senior High School “completes” basic education by making sure

that the high school graduate is equipped for work, entrepreneurship,
or higher education. This is a step up from the 10-year cycle where high
school graduates still need further education (and expenses) to be ready
for the world.

The opening of Senior High School, Academic Track-

Humanities and Social Sciences was granted to Cabaruan Integrated
School last June 23, 2021 by our Regional Director, Dr. Benjamin D.
Paragas.

The graph above shows the total enrolees for the Kindergarten and
Elementary Level of Cabaruan Integrated School for the School Year 2020-2021.
In the Kindergarten there are 26 learners and for Grades 1 to 6 there are a total of
212 learners.

Even though blended distance learning was observed for this

school year, the school seats and tables as well as the different school facilities

D. Strengthening System and School Governance and Operations

1. School Monitoring Evaluation

Monitoring is seeing if you are doing what you said you would do and done in a

systematic approach to overseeing planning, learning, and teaching. This is part

of evaluation that ensures that information is gathered so that judgements can be

made and questions answered accordingly. Evaluating, on the other hand, is the

measurements of success.

The school monitoring and evaluation team of Cabaruan Integrated School work

hand in hand with the school planning team (SPT) in providing a consolidated

source of information showing the progress of the school. The purpose of

monitoring and evaluation in the school are the following: provide the school

management and stakeholders information on the implementation of the

curricular programs and projects as basis for continuously improving their

relevance, efficiency and effectiveness; provide information for school

management to determine and adjust approaches and strategies that will ensure

adequacy, equitable distribution, accessibility, and effective and optimal use of

the resources of the school; establish information as basis in determining

appropriate approach to improve teaching-learning competencies of teachers; and

present information regarding learner’s performance to the school management

that will support decisions and adjustments to improve the learner’s academic

achievement, school attendance and participation in co-curricular activities.

The progress reports of the M & E team will be presented to the stakeholders for

their information, recognition, recommendations and actions.

NARRATIVE REPORT OF SCHOOL-BASED FEEDING PROGRAM

S.Y. 2020-2021

“Health is Wealth”, a very famous saying that has huge and significant
meaning in a human’s life. That’s why human body can’t function without proper
diet and literally can’t be productive in all aspects of life. Thus, feeding program
for children continue despite blended learning approaches in school amid the
coronavirus disease(COVID-19) pandemic. The Department of Education said
that there will be changes in the feeding program since learning will now be
home-based. Those changes were being discussed during the virtual orientation to
SBFP Coordinators of SDO-Quirino.

There were 33 recipients of feeding program at Cabaruan Integrated School

(26 Kindergarten Pupils, 3 Grade 1 pupils, 1 Grade 2 pupil, 1 Grade 5 and 2
Grade 6 pupils). Parents were informed on this activity during the GPTA Meeting
and even on Parent-Teacher Group chats on messenger. During this pandemic
time, many families encounter financial difficulties, they have encountered hard
times to provide the basic needs of their families so this SBFP will help them in
providing nutritious food for their child. It will lessen the burden of every parent
who will receive the food packs. The recipients received Nutritious Food
Products (Enhanced Nutribuns and Nutrichips) last December 21,2020, February
11, 2021, March 16, 2021, June 08, 2021.Right after the distribution of SDO-
SBFP staff on the school, the school coordinator distributed the food products to
their houses.

Having a healthy child, they will have a more active and more fruitful day to
do their task especially in answering and learning Modules. They will have a
strong mind to access quality education. They will have a strong will power to
continue learning even though they are facing the fear of Covid 19.
