1. What is/are the triggering event/s that act/s as stimulus/stimuli for strategic change in the
given case?
 The current chief operating officer (CEO) and the success indicator are the initiating
events in this situation. The new chief operating officer explains how the owner decided
to win market share by invading markets from the ground up. Lee-kun-hee decided to
rethink the company's strategy and position Samsung in high-tech industries. He noticed
how poorly Samsung's electronics were viewed in the United States and Europe during
his trip in 1993. He was determined to improve it by using the structure of conglomerates
to alter Samsung's sclerotic community.

2. Which characteristic/s of strategic decisions is/are described in the case study?


 The entrepreneurial mode is the strategic decision used in the case study because it
illustrates how the owner changes his strategic by transforming Samsung into a high-
end industry as the company grows.

3. How will Samsung maintain its successful market position by using one of the modes in
strategic decision-making?
 Samsung will be able to sustain its efficient collection of relevant data for situation
analysis. You should always have a backup plan on how to make new Samsung devices
and new opportunities, rather than focusing on the current issues. Always look on the
bright side of your business.
