2. Are there universal principles which should be invoked before making or


giving in a moral act?

Yes, for the reason that in every decision we have to make, we should be
able to be accountable for it. We should express our dedication, sincerity, honest,
respect and many more characteristics and we must have those traits or everything will
fall into pieces.

3. How does cultural relativism affect moral and nonmoral standards?

Cultural relativism says that moral standards are culturally defined and nonmoral
standard is universal. Our choices should be based on one self’s unique beliefs,
customs and practices. We should allow ourselves to respect other cultural beliefs as
we all know, different countries, different cultural activities and beliefs. All societies
should accept each other’s differences in terms of moral principles, given that there are
still no standardized l moral principles.

4. Why is it that only human beings can be ethical?

It is because social relations that exists between beings is important. As we all


know, human have a mental capacity to think accordingly. Human beings can
communicate with each other in meaningful ways, engaging to different economic,
political or civic activities that will be helpful for us to have a better life. We can also
build our own relationship as we can be hand-in-hand because no man is an island and
we can’t live without the help with one other.
5. Was there ever a time that you compromised your moral convictions? How did
you feel about it?

Yes. I am really against when it comes to cheating. Before this online class
happened, ever since elementary up until Senior High School, my mindset that is, “it’s
okay to get a zero than to cheat and pass the examination.” I hate the feeling of guilt
that my answers were not originally mine but a fruit of cheating. This eventually
changed when online learning happened, I can’t help to open my notes when it comes
to short quizzes only. I can’t focus because of my surroundings and it was not helping at
all.

9. Should employees experiencing moral dilemmas at work leave their jobs no


matter how compensating they are for them?

Yes, it because moral dilemmas will surely affect the overall performance and
capability of an employee. It may degrade their self-esteem and lose their passion at
work. The lower compensation that they received, the lower the performance they will
put in their work. Higher compensation may be found in other companies as long as
you're competent and experienced enough for the reason that it boost your confidence
and self-esteem. Working in an environment with moral dilemmas is like inhaling toxic
chemicals every day and it slowly destroys you eventually will suffocate you later on.

10. Do you feel free in making moral decisions? Explain. What is the
significance of freedom in making moral?

In making moral decisions, I am free to decide what I would choose. I am now


capable of choosing the right path for me unlike before, I do not have my own opinion
and I am just go with flow or what the majority will choose. I am now become more
responsible for my actions and be accountable for it. Our moral choices has an effect to
our freedom as it determined by many factors that were beyond our control.
