Objectives: To give the girls a background about the Girl Scouts of the Philippines Movement To encourage the girls to participate actively in the movement To help minimize and maintain the cleanliness inside the school campus III. Date: August 24, 2019 IV. Venue: Leyte National High School GSP Headquarters
Target Participants: 20 Girls coming from Grade 7-10 level
Expected Participants: 20 Girls coming from Grade 7-10 level Actual Number of Participants: 27 Girls coming from Grade 7-10 level 1 Cadet Girl Scout 1 Adult Leader 1 Representative from the GSP Council V. Narrative Report: This Orientation was held last August 24, 2019 in the GSP Headquarters around 1 o’clock on the afternoon. Before the program started, ice breakers were played by the Girls Scouts. They also learned to sing different scouting songs such as “Ignite” and the “Girl Scouts Hymn.” It was followed by a Clean Up Drive at the Campus Gymnasium of Leyte National High School. The program started with Entrance of Colors, followed by Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, prayer and re-dedication of the Girl Scout Promise and led by Senior Girl Scout Ro Anne Ysabel Faron. Tita Rowena R. Labita, the District Field Adviser (DFA) of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines in Leyte National High School, gave her opening remarks to formally welcome everyone gathered in the event. Senior Girl Scout Nicole Asensi discussed about the History of Scouting and Tita Bebie Montejo discussed the underlying symbolism of the Girl Scouting movement and what it offers to young girls. The action plan for this school year was also discussed by Senior Girl Scout Treshia Mae C. Navidad. The orientation and Clean Up Drive ended successfully at exactly 5 o’clock in the afternoon.
