Certification Drum and Lyre

The San Antonio Village Elementary School in Antipolo City started its drum and lyre program in September 2015 with the help of parents and on the initiative of the principal. The drum and lyre group currently has 54 members, including 10 lyre players, 26 majorettes, 12 drummers, and 6 flag bearers. The principal saw the potential in the students and asked a teacher to start the program to nurture the musical talents of the pupils.

DRUM AND LYRE

Brief Description

The San Antonio Village Elementary School Drum and Lyre is the youngest
among all drum and lyre ever known at Antipolo City. With the help of few parents, it
formally started last September 3, 2015. The principal of the school, Mrs. Vivienne C.
Martinez got the idea and saw the potential of the pupils. She asked one of her teacher
to initiate to have drum and lyre in the person of Mr. Rogelio R. Gonia Jr. Presently, the
SAVES drum and lyre is pursuing its pursuits of nurturing the potential of pupils in terms
of using musical instruments. It consists of 54 members 10 lyrist, 26 majorettes, 12
drummers and 6 flag bearers.
