INSTRUCTIONS: Use this chart to help you consider the 1990 NCSS Skills Framework as a tool for knowing when to use strategies. Fairly similar to the three Essential
Skills adopted by NCSS in 1994, these four categories can also serve as a useful framework for assisting in strategy selection. To provoke students to engage in behavior
that permits the demonstration of these particular skills, which strategies are best? List them under the appropriate heading. Keep in mind that some strategies may
belong with two or more of the NCSS Skills.
