If you're like me then you spend way too many hours a day scrolling through Instagram. You may even make a small purchase or two with the perfect photo in mind to add to your collection of squares. When these casa beads started to pop up everywhere I was a little confused at what they were and what their purpose was and I tried my hardest not to want them. Well, yesterday, I gave in and made a mini version! Haha. What's that saying... If you can't beat em', join em'?

Everything new is old again! Maybe that's not how the original saying goes but it fits with today's DIY project! When I saw these rustic holiday buckets pop up all over Instagram I instantly fell in love and wanted them to add to this year's porch to tie in with my rustic theme (full reveal coming soon). Then I saw the $80 price tag and my jaw literally dropped. In years past, I may have closed my eyes and hit order and then tell the delivery person to hide the package from my husband, but this year spending over $100 on rustic buckets just wasn't in the SAHM budget. So, I set out to DIY these!

How many of you have ever watched an episode of Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee? Well this is kind of like that except with DIY projects! Haha! This was such a fun, easy DIY project to use anywhere in your home!

'Christmas Tiiime is here.... happiness and cheer'. That's right, y'all... The Christmas season has officially begun in our house! It doesn't take long after Halloween ends for me to feel the itch to start decorating for Christmas. I know the world is divided into a) those who decorate early for Christmas and b) grinches. Haha, Just kidding! I know a lot of people prefer to wait until after Turkey Day to bust out their trees and twinkle lights and that is TOTALLY okay! But this girl likes the extra month to cherish the Christmas decor.

You guys! I am so excited to be sharing my first ever official Trash to Treasure Transformation (oh my gosh the alliteration!). Not only is this the first time I am officially posting this type of project it is also my first time ever using a chalk like paint! Shocking, I know! Isn't it like a rite of passage for all bloggers to paint something with chalk paint? Well I guess I've officially made it then, folks! Ha. Not quite!

I am so excited for the Halloween season to begin! Halloween really feels like the beginning of the holiday season which is my absolute favorite time of the year! I love everything about fall from the pumpkin spice flavors to clear blue skies and rainbow colors of changing leaves. Maybe a little bit of me loves fall because once Halloween is over it's pretty much Christmas time in my books (this is a moment I will say #sorrynotsorry). Of course we still celebrate Thanksgiving... we just do it with Christmas decor up! No shame in my holiday decorating game.

It is REVEAL DAY for the $100 Room Challenge! I have been so so SO excited for this day! If you are unfamiliar with what this challenge is- it really is just as it sounds! You have $100 to makeover a room in just one month! I am so excited to be sharing this DIY project! I have been seeing these butcher paper scrolls/signs/lists (not sure what their official name is) pop up all over Pinterest and Instagram and from the moment I saw them I knew I had to try to DIY one!

I am beyond excited to share this week's progress because it was a true 'R&R' project (check out my About page for more info on the inspiration for my blog name)! This week I am sharing how we made magnetic bamboo blinds to add to the back door in our mudroom! I know, I know. This isn't the first time a shade has been added to a door but I was faced with some tough challenges and overcame each one by not being afraid to be innovative!

Well it is as simple as it sounds- you choose a room and transform it for under $100 in a month! I have sort of done this challenge before without calling it that when I gave our powder room a makeover. Anyway, I am going to be sharing the progress here on the blog!

I am so sorry for being MIA for almost a month! I have had so many projects 'in the works' and waiting to be posted! One project in particular is not complete because I am waiting on a special package to arrive that has been majorly delayed so that has pushed things back a bit. That PLUS I started a part time work from home gig (ALL THE YAYS🙌!) so that has been taking up some of my designated blogging time as well.

As I have been getting ready to makeover our entryway I have been scouring the internet for a new semi-flush mount ceiling light that doesn't break the bank. So far, thrifting has not been my friend with this search so I have turned to looking for new light fixtures. In an effort to get rid of 'boob lights' everywhere, I've rounded up the best finds under $100! {Click pictures for sources}

A few weeks ago, as I was folding up yet another diaper box to take out to the recycling bin, I thought to myself 'I wonder how I could up-cycle these boxes?'. You see, diaper boxes aren't flimsy, they are actually quite sturdy. They also happen to be a decent size to serve many different purposes. Much to my surprise (or maybe not so much), I was not the first person to have this idea. In fact, Pinterest is drowning in DBD (Diaper Box DIY). But that won't stop me! I'm joining the masses and turning an old diaper box into a functional storage bin!

'Hello! Welcome to my home!' That is what every entryway should say.... right? Well, my current entryway is not very 'welcoming'. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I have spider webs greeting guests but its just so... blah. So, I have decided to take on another challenge and give my entryway a fun makeover for under $100!
