Design-build construction company DBS Group has added five new team members this summer to support its growing operations in Rochester, Minnesota, and La Crosse, Wisconsin. In the past four years, the firm’s team has nearly doubled as revenue has grown by more than 125%.

Design-build commercial construction firm DBS Group has hired Brian Conner as a project superintendent. With over 30 years of industry experience, Conner will be responsible for reinforcing the high service standards and proactive project supervision for which DBS Group is recognized.

Design-build commercial contractor DBS Group has hired three new team members to increase the company’s project management, estimation, and administrative capacity to meet continued growing demand for the company’s services. Kevin Larson joins as a project manager, Bryan Grefsheim comes on board as a project estimator, and Sharon Licht steps in as an administrative assistant.

DBS Group has hired four professionals to its design-build team in La Crosse, Wis., and Rochester, Minn. The new team members include Alex McGuire as a project engineer, Cristy Vandeberg as a project superintendent, Chris Kaufman as an assistant project superintendent, and Shawn Meyer as Revit modeler/design draftsperson. McGuire is a graduate of Minnesota State University Mankato and holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management and a minor in business administration. Before joining DBS Group, McGuire worked for a commercial roofing company, estimating and managing large commercial roofing projects across the Upper Midwest. Vandeberg is an 18-year construction industry veteran, having started her career as a laborer in the field and then worked her way into a project superintendent position. She has extensive experience in medium and large multi-family and mixed-use projects across the Midwest. Vandeberg comes to DBS Group from another commercial construction contractor. Kaufman began his career as a carpenter apprentice before becoming a foreman with a commercial contractor in southeast Wisconsin. Kaufman brings experience in small and large commercial construction projects across the Midwest and within several commercial markets, including grocery, retail, hospitality, and general commercial. Meyer comes to DBS Group from an architectural firm. Dr. Briana Chang is from Brooklyn, New York. She earned her Master’s in Oral Health at Boston University where she later completed her Doctorate in Dental Medicine at The Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. Dr. Chang’s passion for dentistry led her to achieve an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Connecticut.

Siem is a 20-year veteran of the construction industry. He started his career as a carpenter apprentice in the field and then worked his way into a project superintendent position. He has experience in small and large commercial construction projects across the Midwest and within several commercial markets, including healthcare, institutional, multifamily, hospitality and retail. Mentzel began his career as a project manager and has several years of experience running multiple projects from pre- to post-construction. Dr.Gray grew up in Rochester, Minnesota where he attended elementary school through high school. He graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences in 2017 with a BS in Neuroscience and received his DDS from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2021. Dr.Gray also completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Afterwards, he spent time in Ames, Iowa as an Associate Dentist. Dr.Gray became interested in dentistry in his undergraduate studies, but he followed his father into the profession, who is an Endodontist right here in town. Dr.Gray is passionate about providing excellent care and service to his patients. With emphasis on dental education and comprehensive treatment planning, Dr.Gray strives to help every patient to their ideal dental health. Perham, Minnesota-based BHH Architecture has merged with the architecture and engineering firm Widseth. The deal closed on June 1, 2023, at which time BHH began operating under the Widseth banner.

Design-build construction firm DBS Group has hired Isaac Klinke as a project estimator and Colton Fox as a carpenter.
