An incumbent and 2 challengers win Chesapeake City Council seats, but a recount is still possible
Final election results in Chesapeake show longtime incumbent Debbie Ritter was successful in securing reelection on the City Council, while political newcomers Les Smith Jr. and Pat King snagged the second and third open at-large seats. Challenger E.R. "Jeff" Jefferies Jr., however, finished within 1% of the third highest vote getter, meaning he could formally request a recount.
