In an interview, Dua Lipa said she does a 15-minute HIIT (high-intensity interval training) session before starting her day. It is a complete workout that combines both aerobic and strength training. The ‘One Kiss’ singer prefers high-intensity workouts, has a shower, eats breakfast, and then heads out.

The singer mentioned that she likes to include different exercises in her routine, such as mountain climbing, jumping jacks, and burpees, to stay interested in working out. These strength training exercises work for multiple muscle groups and improve cardiovascular health.

She also enjoys yoga, pilates, boxing, and spinning. Varying workouts have been shown to help with weight loss and fat burning. It also improves flexibility, lowers the risk of injuries, boosts metabolism, and reduces boredom for the singer.

Dua Lipa's Workout Routine Revealed By Trainer

In her journey, the singer went through transformational changes. The 29-year-old used to train with coach Peter MacIver (also known as PMAC). The trainer shared how Dua Lipa gave her all in her workouts. According to PMAC, she didn’t need any extra motivation as she was already so driven for her fitness. 

Their typical session would include 20 minutes of hill sprints. When they worked together, she aimed to stay lean and toned while improving her overall fitness for performing on stage. By enhancing her cardiovascular fitness and strength, she aimed to perform better and manage the physical challenges of touring more easily.

Peter Mac gave a breakdown of the workouts performed by Dua Lipa:

Workout 1: 20 minutes of hill sprints followed by a 40-minute full-body bodyweight workout.
Workout 2: 20 minutes of hill sprints and then a 40-minute full-body workout using equipment like balls, bands, and bars.
Workout 3: 20 minutes of hill sprints, then carry out a 40-minute full-body bodyweight workout that focuses on balance and agility.

According to Varnit Yadav, Exercise and Nutrition Coach (as per his LinkedIn), Dua Lipa, amongst many other celebrities, stands to be a great example of discipline and consistency. Sharing his expert opinion, he adds, "no matter what part or field of the world you belong to, you have to put in the work to look and feel a certain way. It's always a great idea to get a quick 20-minute home workout instead of skipping your workouts altogether."

He even shared that cooking home-cooked food is a sure-shot way to ensure you get all the nutrients, allowing you to maintain healthy body fat levels and blood markers. "Remember, it's all about putting in the work and staying committed to your health and fitness journey," added Varnit.

Dua Lipa's Diet For Toned Body

For the singer, food is more than just a fuel. She loves cooking and believes that after all the work she does, it is important for her to slow down and connect with the food that nourishes her body and life. She swears by the right balance of healthy food, vitamins, occasional treats, and regular workouts for her toned body.

In her podcast, the singer said she would never stop herself from having treats but would do so with moderation. However, when it comes to cheat meals, or ‘naughty treat,’ as she refers to it, she tries to limit them to certain days.

She does not eat after 6 PM because she believes it helps her skin. It takes too long to process food, and it does not prepare anything else in her body. Dua also revealed she misses the food which her parents used to cook when she was a child. Some of her favourites include ajvar which is a red bell pepper dipping sauce, spicy sujuk sausage and spinach pie.
