Frequently Asked Questions about COVID-19 Vaccines

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone age 6 months and older get an updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19, including severe disease, hospitalization, and death. This includes those who have had COVID-19 and those who were previously vaccinated.

For adults age 65 years and older and those who are moderately or severely immunocompromised, CDC recommends a second dose of 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine, to be given 6 months after the first dose.
