Honorable Daniel Palmieri’s distinguished judicial career includes seven years spent as Justice of the Supreme Court, Tenth Judicial District, Nassau County where he served until his retirement in 2017.  As a jurist, he has handled all aspects of criminal and civil matters and has had numerous decisions published in the New York State Official Reports.  His judicial career began in 1989 when he was elected District Court Judge for Nassau County.  Thereafter, he was elected and re-elected County Court Judge and designated Acting Supreme Court Justice where he served for more than 10 years.

Prior to serving on the bench, Judge Palmieri was engaged in private practice.  He is well versed in the law and has handled a variety of case types, including employment (i.e., matters related to sexual harassment, discrimination, and hostile work environment claims, among others), commercial, labor law, construction, professional liability, tort and product liability, matrimonial, real estate and personal injury.  As a civil judge and as a private practitioner, he has tried, conferenced and resolved hundreds of cases.
