      Looking for an unforgettable holiday party for hundreds? Or a memorable birthday party for your child’s closest friends? Maybe a corporate retreat and space to build team connections? Or a private spot for an intimate reception?

      The Strong National Museum of Play’s unique spaces and playful exhibits provide a one-of-a-kind setting for any event. Let the museum’s team and in-house caterers treat your group to an experience that your guests will talk about for years to come.

      Parties

      Celebrate important milestones with the ones you love—in a place that you love. The museum’s playful spaces and beloved exhibits provide an ideal setting for birthday, engagement, graduation, and anniversary parties, as well as family reunions, baby showers, and more.

      Book a Birthday Party
      Party Package Includes

      A private party space for 1.5 hours. Choice of:

      10:30 a.m. to noon (any day of the week),
      1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (any day of the week),
      3:30 to 5 p.m. (Friday or Saturday).

      • Museum admission for 10 people (non-members).
      • One ride per child on the train or carousel.
      • A museum host to assist with party needs.

      Price: $325 for 10 party guests.
      Additional party guests can be added for $25 each (age 2 and older).
      Party room has a maximum capacity of 40 guests.
      Current museum members are free.
      All guests age 2 and older must have a paid admission ticket

      Party Add-on Options

      • Butterfly garden tickets: $6 each
      • Infinity Arcade tokens: 120 tokens for $25
      • Costumed Characters: Enjoy a 20-minute visit from a Berenstain Bear for $50. Choice of Mama, Papa, Brother, or Sister Bear.

      Food and Beverage

      • Food may be ordered from the food court or Bill Gray’s.
      • Store-bought food and refreshments may be brought in by the host of the party. Delivery of catered food, such as pizza is also allowed.
      • Homemade food and beverages are not permitted.
      • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
      • The museum does not supply any paper products (plates, napkins, cups, etc.). The party host is responsible for providing these.

       

      Decorations

      • Table-top decorations may be brought in to customize the party area.
      • Balloons, piñatas, party poppers, confetti, wall decorations, and birthday cake candles are not permitted.
      • Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance and are subject to availability.
      • All parties require a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm the reservation.
      • Final balance is due four days before the party.

      Cancellation Policy

      If you wish to cancel a birthday party, a 50% refund will be issued. You may also request to reschedule the party to an available date. Please note that any cancellation or date change must be made prior to the scheduled party date.

      Private Events

      Big events deserve amazing spaces. The Strong offers a unique and memorable setting for meetings, receptions, and other special events. Whether it’s a team-building outing, a business meeting, a dinner, or a reception for 250, the museum has just the right space to meet your needs. Please complete the form below to request your next event! 

      G. Rollie Adams Atrium (Reception 200, Seated 150)

      Located on the first floor in the heart of the museum’s exhibitions, the Adams Atrium is a bright, spacious area ideally suited for receptions, dinner parties, and other elegant events during non-public hours.

      Theater Lobby (Reception 140, Seated 100)

      This large space on the museum’s first floor is perfect for grazing receptions and cocktail parties during non-public hours. Three saltwater aquariums located in the space provide perfect fodder for conversation among unacquainted guests.

      Paychex Theater (Seating 290)

      Located on the first floor, the Paychex Theater offers an ideal setting for corporate meetings, lectures, and large presentations. The Paychex Theater features a stage, podium, and is AV-ready for all presentation needs.

      Toy Halls of Fame (Reception 75, Seated 50)

      Located on the museum’s second floor, the Toy Halls of Fame is available during non-public hours and is ideally suited for grazing receptions, cocktail parties, and dinner parties. It features a 20-foot virtual bubble tower, Kinect motion control to play with classic toys, an oversized Etch-a-Sketch for a virtual portrait that can be shared with friends and family, and more, along with proximity to other second-floor exhibits that can be added to an event.

      Pixel Landing (Reception 75, Seated 50)

      Located on the museum’s second floor, Pixel Landing is available during non-public hours and is ideally suited for grazing receptions, cocktail parties, and dinner parties. The landing is close to the museum’s newest exhibits, Level Up and High Score, and it features dramatic, high ceilings and tall windows.

      Activity Room CD (Theater-Style 115, Classroom-Style 80)

      Located in a non-public area of the museum, steps away from the Adams Atrium, this space is available during public and non-public hours and is suited for meetings, luncheons, workshops, corporate events, etc. The room is equipped with a ceiling-mounted projector and drop-down screen for presentations.

      Individual Exhibits

      Individual exhibits can be added to any package—including the Ralph Wilson Skyline Climb and Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden. The most popular choice? Infinity Arcade, a celebration of the arcade era, with dozens of playable games sure to provide a trip down memory lane.

      Entire Museum!

      Looking to really wow your guests? The entire museum can be rented with more than 140,000 square feet of exciting exhibit spaces.
