WMVS/WMVT, hereafter referenced as Milwaukee PBS, is licensed to the nine member governing board of the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC).
Policy development for Milwaukee PBS is determined by the MATC Board with implementation and operations the responsibility of the MATC President, the Milwaukee PBS General Manager and staff.
Members of the public may obtain access to Milwaukee PBS FCC Public File information at the station offices located at:

Before sending a formal written complaint, we recommend you first contact the Milwaukee PBS Closed Captioning Hotline at the number listed above. We may be able to resolve your problem immediately. In any event, we will respond to your written complaint within 30 days.
Please include the following information when writing us about closed captioning:
- Which of our channels you are watching (10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 36.1, 36.2)?
- Are you receiving our channels over the air with an antenna, or do you subscribe to Time Warner Cable, Charter Cable, Dish Network, DirecTV, or U-verse?
- What is the date and time the problem with closed captioning occurred?
- What is the name of the program with impaired closed captioning?
- Is the closed captioning garbled, or is it missing entirely?
- Is the picture itself breaking up when closed captioning is impaired?
- Is closed captioning working properly for other programs on the same channel?
- Is closed captioning working properly on other channels?
To properly receive closed captioning, the CC function in your digital TV or converter box must be turned on and set to CC1. Since each TV or converter box is different, please consult your owners manual for instructions on how to activate closed captioning. If you subscribe to Time Warner/Spectrum Cable, Charter Cable, Dish Network, DirecTV, or U-verse, please call their customer service number to obtain instructions on activating closed captioning with the equipment they provide as part of your subscription.
