Battery compliance
Microsoft complies with global substance restriction, battery marking, consumer information, and transportation and recycling requirements, including those mandated by the EU Battery Regulation.
Effective January 1, 2020, manufacturers and subsequent distributors of lithium cells, batteries, and equipment powered by cells and batteries are required to make available a test summary as specified in the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria, Part III, sub-section 38.3, paragraph 38.3.5.
