
World Localization Day is an annual celebration convened by Local Futures. Every year, on June 21 and throughout the month of June, Local Futures and an array of global partners host events to highlight localization as a strategy for change, and to celebrate the initiatives that foster ecological economies, thriving communities and healthy local food systems.

This 35-minute film, released in celebration of World Localization Day 2024, is a united call for a new economy. Featuring strong voices from the worldwide localization movement, such as Vandana Shiva, Andrew Simms, Manish Jain, Iain McGilchrist, and more.


A second film, released to mark World Localization Day 2024, is 'The Power of Local', an uplifting film about localization in action, featuring people and groups on five continents working to create healthy and fair local economies, communities and food systems.
