Cybersecurity vendor Claroty has appointed Jason Pearce into the new role of field CTO for the Asia Pacific and Japan region (APJ).

The company said the introduction of this new role underscores its growth in the region and commitment to helping critical infrastructure organisations secure their increasingly complex environments.

Reporting to Claroty's APJ GM Eddie Stefanescu, Pearce will be responsible for helping customers understand the operational risks of XIoT and cyber-physical systems, and safeguard their critical industrial security assets, Claroty said.

He will provide thought leadership and security advisory to customers to ensure they have the right cyber resilience programs.

Before joining Claroty, Pearce was director of customer success in Asia Pacific for Mimecast. .

He was previously CTO for Asia Pacific, Japan, Middle East and Africa at enterprise software provider IFS, where he led the regional presales team.

Pearce has also held senior leadership roles in consulting and presales at companies including ClickSoftware (Salesforce), MailGuard, EMC, RSA, Oracle, Cisco Systems and Hewlett Packard.
