Awards Selection Criteria

Entries must address the following

  1. You must meet each of these criteria to be eligible for the awards:
  • Does your nominated work/project involve IoT?
  • Did part of it take place in the 2022-23 financial year? (Did part of the work take place between July 2022 – June 2023?)
  • Is it an Australian project? Entries are open to local and international organisations but must focus on Australian activities and outcomes to be eligible.
  1. Project impact
  • Is there tangible evidence of the work’s impact? e.g. Did the work result in a return on investment, improvement to processes, learnings, financial outcomes, customer service etc?
  • The size or scale of the impact matters. Did it have make an impact beyond the organisation e.g. industry-wide? Were there wide-scale economic outcomes such as improved competitiveness, productivity, jobs, exports and value-add? Greater weight will be given to entries that demonstrate broader impact. Independent evidence, such as links to third party metrics and reports, will give your entry more credibility.
  1. Project Innovation
  • Does it use new technologies, systems, approaches to security and/or privacy, partnerships or business models?
  • Does it drive business process change?

Important

  • If you are nominating a customer's project, you must have their permission to do so
  • Provide credible evidence of the project’s impact and/or innovation e.g., testimonials, metrics about deployment, data collected, metrics about outcomes.
  • Maximum 200 words per criterion

Judging

  • The Awards are judged by key industry experts.
