Reversible back cushions provide soft support for your back and two different sides to wear. Thanks to the combination of polyester fibres and cut foam the cushions will retain their shape and comfort year after year.

Like many folks, we’ve had our Ektorp couches for about a decade and love them. Since they’ve been discontinued we chose to purchase the UPPLAND sofas for our living room.
A few thoughts on what folks don’t like about UPPLAND and why:
Large, thick, puffy cushions: Yes, they are thicker and bigger, but you’re also probably used to worn in Ektorp cushions. These will become more worn with time, though I don’t mind them out of the box. They’re comfortable.
Material: all the YouTube reviews I’ve seen of folks complaining about the material show beige or white covers. We bought the grey/green and they’re super soft. They don’t feel like cheap plastic or seem like they won’t last. We were pleasantly surprised, so consider all colours won’t feel the same.
Size: this is an upgrade from Ektorp, they’re not so apartment sized, but aren’t crazy big.

The seat cushions actually look as thought they are bending in the middle . It is very disappointing to have a new couch which 2 adults sit on and seat cushions are switched almost daily to see this.
Not a fan, I will be checking the date of purchase to see if I have time to return . Which is not a smooth thing to do as seniors without a larger
Vehicle .
Best comfort for the priceAaroni had an og ektorp that i loved for a decade, and decided to upgrade with a new uppland. It's very comfortable after it is broken in. It is true that it does sit higher and is more padded ( firmer) than old ektorp. However it's a great comfy couch. Way better than anything out there at this price point. very happy

This is a piece of crap. DO NOT BUY IT! I thought the others were just negative but they were honestCindyI have had Ikea sofas before (Ektorp) which were wonderful for years. I hated this one from the second it was delivered. SHAME ON YOU IKEA FOR CREATING SUCH A SUBSTANDARD PRODUCT TO ENHANCE YOUR BOTTOM LINE! The fabric is worse than you might find in a laundromat- thin, scratchy, shiny, wrinkly, rough, and it doesn't even cover the whole cushion or back liner! You can't flip cushions if they stain because IKEA has used an even cheaper lining fabric on all the other sides! It feels like sitting on cardboard. (I had tried the couch in the store, but they must substitute the cushions there so you won't know how bad they are) The frame is the cheapest pressed wood, little better than cardboard. I had read all the reviews and thought that the negative ones were just the usual haters! The fact that this is on sale so soon after having been introduced speaks volumes. They say they will take away your old sofas, but neglect to add the fine print that that's only if they are from IKEA-UGH

Mixed feelings here .. AngelaWonderful as it has slipcovers but it’s not soft and comfy like the EKTORP . The seat cushions are VERY firm which means your sitting much higher then any sofa I have sat in before . I have had my sofa a month and the seat cushions haven’t a softened at all.

Quality not the same as the EktorpKimVery disappointed with the quality of the sofa. The covers are made of very thin fabric. The cushions are very difficult to place in covers as they are too thick. Wish they would have not discontinued the Ektorp sofa, it was timeless.
A Huge Disappointment CarolynHaving had two Ektorp sofas I was excited to get the Uppland. The one we tried in the store was really comfortable and we were “sold”. That was the end of the happy story. The nightmare is now on - the sofa and love seat feel like they are made of cheap unyielding plastic foam. They are so uncomfortable that we hate sitting on them. The worst though is the smell. The cushions in these two sofas stink. I can’t be any nicer in my choice of words. It’s been a nightmare. My whole house stinks because of these two pieces of “furniture”. I’ve been trying to get it resolved by IKEA but seeing as customer service is on Toronto time and I’m in BC the three hour difference is ridiculous. I took a day off to deal with it. Still no resolution- I am waiting …..

LOOKS TERRIBLE EVEN WHEN IRONED!MarkThe quality of construction is five star, however the cover looks TERRIBLE, all wrinkly even though it's been ironed (a huge pain to do). It looks like it's ten years old even though its brand new. Don't believe the nice pictures on the product page!

Love it but….TerryI love this sofa but IKEA really disappointed when I realized the sofa cushions are not reversible. Seriously IKEA?!?! You are cheaping out, especially on the white where it’s bound to show dirt quicker than a darker colour. Would have been nice to be able to flip the cushions to give a little more time before washing. You increase the price dramatically and then cheap out.
