Surround Stands to Pair with Sonos SoundbarJ.We have 2 Symfonisk speakers as rear surrounds to compliment a Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar. Didn't want to mount on the walls, so we put them on two of these stands. They are excellent. Nicely weighted bottom keeps from tipping, and puts them at perfect level for spreading the sound throughout the large open-concept space we have the TV in. Tool one star off product quality as we had to replace one of them since it needed to be replaced as the speaker mount wasn't aligning properly and the other one was not properly welded where the base meets the post mount. Otherwise, highly recommend.
Missed opportunities, functional but not ideal.SAssembly 4 me: piece of cake. But the whole thing is designed backwards. It should telescope and swivel.
Design gripes:
1. can't adjust height. Not ideal workarounds: install only top pole into base/raise on blocks
2a. Ugly screws needlessly on front. Plastic covers are unsightly/noticeable and don't match colour.
2b. Why have cords dangle in front? Unlike photos they either bunch or slack, even clipped. Use white/black/double-sided tape? Clips reduce cord length slack to ~2 feet.
3. Poles are hollow so possibly compress rubberized speaker plug and fish through to hide? Except you have to drill exit hole in base/pole. Ugly, useless hole at top visible as is.
4. Poor design of securing screw placement. Could easily have screwed directly into speaker with 3 main screws. Instead method exposes screw heads on speaker in sight.
5. Rigid placement of poles means you have to have more clearance at base.
Stand Up and Be MountedThomasPurchased a pair of these (black). Both have some of the quality/fit and finish issues other reviews mention, but I don’t think most people would notice anything once assembled with speakers attached. The stand is sturdy, the base is heavier and wider than I expected, and they look pretty “pro” with the speakers mounted. Fyi: the base is about 12”/30 cm in diameter, and the height to the top of an attached speaker is about 46”/117 cm, and you only have about 3 feet/.9 M of power cord (Gen 2 speaker) from the base of the stand to reach your power outlet.
Does the jobJuneThese were easy to assemble and do not take up much space. End up at the right height for rear speakers. Good price!
Bought 2 standsGabeThe stands look and work well after a fairly simply assembly process. Only issue I had were quality of construction. First, one of the feet was off in the package and the firt night after setup I discovered a thin black plastic mounding del off the back of the stand which hides the holes and lots on each side of the back of the speaker.
Lastly and semi-related the the stands was the the power cord on the gen1 symfonisk was barely long enough the plug in after running the the base of the stand - barely 16” and therefore severely limiting the it’s proximity to the nearest ac outlet. (This was not the case with the gen2 power cable thankfully!)
Great optionLeahIf you don’t have a bookshelf to hold your speaker and you don’t want to mount it to the wall (apartment dwellers this is your friend). These slim, simple, unobtrusive floor stands are the answer.
