The backpack fabric is water-resistant.

The backpack has a handy outer compartment where you can keep for example, keys and mobile phone, so it is easy to find and to access your things.

The adjustable and padded shoulder straps keep the backpack firmly and comfortably in place on the back.

The zippered side opening makes it easy to access your things in the main compartment, even when the backpack is fully packed.

There’s a separate compartment in the back that holds a 15” computer.

There’s space for both a water bottle and a larger umbrella in the side pockets.

Want to love it, but...ElisabethJust bought this last week and on its first outing I happily rolled down the top and clipped it shut, not knowing it would be for the last time. Nothing I try will budge the catch on one side. The other pushes in easily but the troublesome one is holding fast. I might try to exchange it or replace the clip with one I have that I know works. 1

Nice for light loadsChristopherI had previously bought an UPPTACKA zip-together double backpack, and happy with its quality, later bought a large-sized STARTTID white backpack and a year later a more recent olive colour STARTTID model. All of these have been some of the highest quality, most durable backpacks I have owned and used for regular commuting by bike and public transit. The two larger ones are perfect for hauling a load of groceries home and also will fit a bag of cat litter or of soil perfectly, and several times people have stopped me to ask about them and admire them, believe it or not. This new, smaller equivalent of those two is ideal for smaller loads, namely carrying my lunch bag and other essentials and even when needed cramming in my jacket to wear in the mid-evening commute back home after work in the now autumnal cold. If there were one thing I would like to see, it would be a minipocket and/or loop like on the arm straps of the larger olive model, which are very useful for hanging sunglasses, clipping on a glasses case or a bandolier with keys attached among other things. The loops attached to the two side pockets are useful for just these purposes, but not as accessible as if they had been placed on the arm straps.5
