This couch is not good for the back.GursevakIf someone have a back issue, it’s not good idea to buy this couch. Otherwise it looks nice. That’s why I bought this but now whenever I sit on it, my back start hurting because they have 90 day policy for return even I can’t return this. I’m stuck with that. I don’t know what should I do?3

How do we keep it clean?LynnWe purchased this sofa (Slatorp sofa with chaise) today and are pleased with the size, shape and style. In reading the reviews, I wonder if Ikea could suggest a cleaning product so that we can keep it looking good.4
Beautiful…until…TheresaWe bought this sofa just under 2 years ago. Loved it at first. We knew we couldn’t remove the cushions for cleaning, but have pretty good stain removers that never failed us, until now.
By 1 year the material was stained from just sitting on it in any dark clothing (jeans especially). We have spot cleaned, steam cleaned and used different spot cleaners with zero success.
By 1.5 years one cushion was sunken in. And approaching 2 years, a second cushion has sunk in.
Making matters worse, this is one of the only products ikea doesn’t sell replacement parts or cushion covers for (annoying since the cushions can’t be removed for a good washing in the first place).
Sofas are designed to sit on every day. They should last longer than 2 years. IKEA should have replacement parts for this product because they WILL be required.
(And yes, products can be returned within 180 days, but that doesn’t help this inevitable situation all Slatorp customers will experience after that 180 day mark)

Great Sofa!MariaI love this sofa! It’s big and comfortable. 3-4 people can easily fit in there. Bought 6 months ago and I don’t regret it one bit. I guess if you have kids you may want to reconsider, but otherwise great couch.

Very comfy but difficult to cleanJamieWe love the comfort of the sofa but it is too difficult to clean. The cushions are not removable and the covers do not unzip like other IKEA furniture. Slip covers would be nice but IKEA does not make those either. :( I would not recommend.2
Stained cushionNegarFinally found a comfortable high quality good looking sofa in Ikea. Got disappointed seeing a big yellow stain on one of the cushions. Not sure how to handle it yet. I used delivery service to save time and now I have to go back to the store with a big cushion.4

Nice sofa… but!!AllisonThe sofa is nice and stylish… but the fabric is horrible. Within less than a year the fabric was very loose, and looked like the sofa was 10 years old. Also the fabric gets dirty very easily, is not able to clean easily at all unless you probably use a carpet cleaner and the cushions are attached so you can’t even possibly flip the cushions.2
