Authentic and UniqueDesmondI originally went to the store thinking these were simulated rugs, I had no idea they were authentic cow hides. As such, each one is very unique in their coloring, texture and size. You can choose a hide that is more subtle or more dramatic depending on what is in stock. So far it has been an incredible addition to our living room, easy to keep, and really warms up the room. Our dog Bella LOVED it the second it arrived. She now splits her nap time equally between floor and couch. It won’t add any plushness, but it feels amazing under the feet.5

Hair is everywhere and we do not have pets in the house. Looks awful and would not recommend to purchase these rugs from Ikea. Expected it to last at least 8 years as we have a similar cowhide from a different store that is still looking great.1
Soft feel, Great LookEthanThis will be my third KOLDBY because one nor two were enough! I now have one in each color and they really make the space (layered are neat, drapped over an antique chest, under the glass coffee table). One note is that it has an initial smell from the tanning process, but it quickly fades when left to air off and goes into use. Easy clean/care when directions followed.5

Good at the beginning..AnonymousFor years I had wanted one of these rugs. When we bought our first home it was the perfect opportunity to finally get one! As soon as we had seen ours we loved it! When we brought it home we loved it even more because of how well it complimented our living room! About a month or two in it started to shed. I figure a little may be normal, but it literally never stoped. We’ve had it for a year now and there are MASSIVE hairless patches all over. It’s really disappointing after having wanted one for so long. I’m not sure if we just got a lemon, but I wouldn’t suggest buying this rug from ikea.1
