What material is best for coat hangers?
Solid wood hangers are sturdy and are often deemed more premium than their plastic cousins. Our BUMERANG collection offers a range of attractive hangers with strong shoulders for great support to hang shirts and jackets – they also have notches so you can hang dresses, too.
In addition, they feature a horizontal bar, which doubles up as a trouser hanger. The BUMERANG collection also includes dedicated chrome-plated clip hangers for trousers and skirts.
Which clothes hangers are the best value?
If you’re on a budget, the SPRUTTIG plastic hangers are great all-rounders – suitable for hanging skirts, shirts, trousers, and jackets.
Why do coat hangers have notches?
The notches on the shoulders of some hangers are for hanging dresses and tops using the loops sewn into the shoulders or under the arms. The loops help retain shape and prevent clothes from sliding off the hanger.
If you’re hanging clothes with defined shoulders you should check out our BUMBERANG shoulder shapers, which slot on top of the collection’s wooden coat hangers. The shapers are wider than the hangers, so they spread the garment’s weight more evenly to provide better support.
How do you choose coat hooks and coat racks?
We stock various coat racks, hooks, mounts, and storage units, all designed to tidy up your hallway. For a great all-rounder, check out the PINNIG hall tree – the coming together of shoe storage, a coat rack and somewhere to sit while tying your laces. We also sell over-the-door hooks, like VOXNAN, which are perfect for bathrooms and bedrooms.
