PlanED, a podcast by IIEP-UNESCO
Go behind the scenes of education systems worldwide. How are they planned for and managed and what can help us all create the education systems needed for a more equitable and sustainable future? IIEP specialists share the latest thinking and knowledge on educational planning and management. Available on Spotify, Apple, and Soundcloud.
Making policies happen: Education leadership in action
How do we bridge the gap from policy to implementation, from vision to reality? IIEP-UNESCO equips planners, policy-makers, and partners worldwide with the skills to achieve this transformation, which takes not only technical planning expertise but also soft skills like leadership.
In this episode, Beatriz Pont, IIEP's global training lead, and Anna Haas, a programme specialist from IIEP's technical cooperation team, share their expertise turning visions into in-school realities. We also hear on-the-ground experiences of Sia Fasuluku, Director of Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation from the Ministry of Education in Sierra Leone; Royston Emmanuel, Senior Technical Specialist from the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) in Saint Lucia; and Andreas Tsiakkiros, Senior Education Planning Officer from the Ministry of Education in Cyprus.
Produced by Alexandra Waldhorn and Sarah Elzas, who edited and mixed the episode.
