We recently acquired a gorgeous tile mural with our local mountain (Mt. Hood) depicted on it. It's about 4'x8'. Yes. Huge. My original thought was to take the tiles off the the backing and use it the shower or as a backsplash in our cabin remodel but then we discovered a few tiles with tiny hairline cracks and a few chips. Now I am thinking it might be risky to take them off. But we are also struggling to come up with ways to integrate it in our cabin interior without it looking gaudy since the tiles are glossy and I can't see it just hanging on the wall and overwhelming the space. I would greatly appreciate any ideas you might have.
