What product looks like wooden shutters for a colonial farmhouse?
We had a home on the historic register that required the use of wooden shutters, which were very expensive to have custom made, and required frequent repair and replacement.
This was inconvenient and time-consuming, and required our home periodically having to go without one or more shutters.
We are building a new home we want to look like an old one, and will be using Arctic White smooth lap Hardieplank siding with black shutters.
Is there a product similar to Hardieplank (as far as being long-lasting and low-maintenance) that is used for shutters that doesn't look like vinyl or plastic? Maybe some kind of composite?
Thanks!
