Are they pavers, or just brick? Pavers make for a longer lasting patio and are a full 4" x 8". You will use 4.5 pavers per square foot. So 1800 will allow for 20' x 20' maximum. A design which calls for cutting will possibly cause up to 10% waste. Be certain to put a good gravel base, then screed with sand or limestone screenings before setting the brick. Don't know your climate but suggest at least a 4" base, more if deep frost occurs. Pitch approximately 1/8" per foot away from your house for drainage. Some photos of ours are linked from "My Page". Ion Ion, As others have tried to communicate, the objection to installing stone veneer is an aesthetic one. While it would meet your intent to introduce a different material and texture, it will call attention to itself, and, owing to the fact that vinyl siding is installed on the foundation below, it will scream "fake." Your attempt to provide some "piece of mind" for the pros regarding the support for a stone veneer provides no peace of mind for this one. A stone veneer--either natural or manufactured--would not be supported on a ledge of the type you showed in the wall section view. Stone veneers are adhered to the wall-- typically over metal lathe fastened through the foam to the concrete. If you are planning to install 4" thick full building stone, it would be supported on a stone ledge, but that would requires a 5" or 6" ledge not the 2" you described. Proceed with caution.

@cat_ky Thank you for the input. Yeah, the room is TERRIBLE when it comes to light. The only window (a glass slider) faces N.E. so, natural light is pretty minimal. I have another thread going regarding how to go about figuring out the best way to get the room some more light. I've explored all the options on my own, but I really think I need to bring in a designer to weigh the various options vs. their costs and then go from there. This room is also open to the kitchen that will need a reface as the very least, so there's certainly plenty of work to do and to figure out to help out this space.
