Christmas Decor or Fall Decor???

I am hosting a party with about 100 friends and relatives for my parent's 50th anniversary on Nov. 26th (Sat. following Thanksgiving). Do you think the decor should be fall or is it ok to have Christmas decorations up? I think the house will look better with it decked out for Christmas (less the tree), but it is not a holiday party. What do you all think?

I think 'sparkly' Christmas decorating is fine too...I like the ideas of Gold ornaments/decor too tying in Christmas with 50th Anniversary! (save the Santa stuff for later...)

Congratulations to your parents and good luck with the party! (A lot of work and a lot of fun...I just did party for my parents 50th this past summer. They were thrilled::)
