i still need to buy 2 counter stools for my newly renovated kitchen. they need to have 24" high seats, and have backs. my house was built in 1870 and i'd like something historic, maybe, but not country or rustic. no tractor seats, please! i was thinking of something bentwood but i thought i'd ask folks before i set out to order something. the island is quarter-sawn oak, with honed granite on top. the baking nook is around the corner from the main part of the kitchen. (we're still missing cabinet doors for over the sink and the bookcase in the back room, and some bits of trim.)
