Nine Favorite Things: Happiest November! It’s cookbook launch month! I feel so much excitement and have so many nerves. It’s crazy that after over two years of work on the Quick & Cozy cookbook, it is finally time to share it with you all!

Coming up this month, I’ll start sharing a handful of recipes from the book on Instagram. I filmed a few with my good friend Benny while in Los Angeles a few weeks ago. Before I head out on the book tour, I’ll also share a couple of recipes filmed from home. I thought it would be fun to give you all a sneak peek inside the book. So make sure you’re following me on Instagram! It will be fun!

Aside from all of the book excitement, which has pretty much become my life at this point, it’s been a great week! I spent the first part of this week in New York, and I can’t tell you how much I love the city during these late fall days. The colors are so rich, and I was lucky to have almost perfect weather most days I was in town.

I was in New York for the CFDA awards. Just like last year, I was there with Amazon. It was such an honor to be invited back, and this year was even better! I felt a little more comfortable, knew a few more of the people attending, and all in all, it was a beautiful night. Plus, I got to play dress up for a night and loved every minute! It’s been amazing working with the Amazon team, we have some big things coming up!

This was a pretty quick in-and-out trip, but I squeezed in a day of filming, a few meetings, and then spent hours in my hotel room working on The 2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Guide, which is now live! I’m so happy and excited to share this menu. I think it’s one of my favorites. I’m also sharing more details on my tablescape below! Let me know what would be helpful to share ahead of Thanksgiving this year. We have just over three weeks to prepare! What are your plans this Thanksgiving?

Between the cookbook and the holidays, we have so many things to be excited about. But a lot of it can feel overwhelming, too. The thing I’ve been doing a lot of lately, is remembering back to the girl who wanted all of this. We may not be at that picture-perfect idealistic vision I first had, but every day, we inch closer.

When things start to feel like a lot, I just think to myself, “How cool is it that I get to do this? I’m traveling to New York for events as big as the CFDAs, working with Amazon and other super creative people. I’m creating and sharing content I love, and most importantly – I am so fortunate to have built out the most wonderful community of people who choose to spend time with me every day. Whether you watch on social, read the website, or are coming to the book tour. I’m the luckiest! I try to think those thoughts, and it always helps because, really, I am so fortunate! I’m so excited for these next two months!

That’s all I have for today! Enjoy another Sunday Favorites, and Happy November!

1. Things i’m loving, wanting, and excited to try.

burning…our Gingerbread Smash candle. It’s finally back in stock, and it has a pretty new fluted vessel, too! It’s truly the essence of Christmas! Like fresh gingerbread cookies baking away all day long.

also burning…the new Smash Collection Votive Set!! How fun is this? We launched a set of 3 votive candles in the scents: apple cider smash,  pumpkin smash, and gingerbread smash. It’s the perfect gift set for the holidays! If you’re looking for larger sizes, you can order all 3 candles here.

ordering…this Temple des Mousses (Moss Temple) – Matchbox. So curious how this smells!

everything in my cart (low)…these Essential Sunday Wide Leg Sweatpants and then how about these Wide Leg Sweatpants with Pockets too! Both look so cozy!

listening to…Kelsea Ballerini: Divorced at 29.

dreaming of going…Wildflower Farms, in New York’s Hudson Valley. Check out their Instagram account, the leaves are so pretty right now! And if we’re dreaming really big, Castelfalfi in the heart of Tuscany.

loving…the Oura Ring. Yes, I’ve mentioned this before, but I need to get back to using this and tracking my sleep. My worst habit is my sleep! My cousin, Abby just texted me. She is loving the Oura ring I gave her and inspiring me to give this a try again!

wanting…holiday mugs! I found this Christmas mug on Pinterest and need to figure out who is making them. So cute! Also, this Scok Christmas Mug and then these cute Christmas mugs too! Ok last set, these holiday mugs are adorable!

loving… the Louis Vuitton holiday collection – so sweet. These pieces would make fun holiday gifts.

everything in my cart (beauty)…the Sephora sale is happening now through November 11th, so I’m sharing some of my selects here! I adore these Universal Daily Peel Pads from Dr. Dennis Gross. And I have to mention their DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro read light mask because I use this every single night. It’s changed my skin. Definitely stocking up on the Patrick Ta Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo. And trying the Dieux Instant Angel Lipid-Rich Barrier Repair Cream with Ceramides for sure.

Love, love, love these Cinnamon Velvet nails. So pretty for fall. Definitely asking for this mix of OPI Cliffside Karaoke with OPI Brown To Earth, and then using the OPI Nail Lacquer Base Coat on top. It’s the perfect November nail color.

Oh, and I love the new Skinny Confidential Brow Peptide Serum if you’re looking for growth in your brows. I love a thick brow!

watching…On Tour With Indie Pop Star—And New Chanel Ambassador—Gracie Abrams. Such a cute video. I love Gracie!

traveling…my cousin Abby just finished a trip up the coast: Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, Capitola, Monterey, and Carmel by the Sea. Sounds amazing and I bet it’s really pretty in the fall!

everything in my cart (high)…the Loro Piana silk satin wrap coat. It’s stunning, but whoa, that’s a lot for a coat. Instead, I would get this Favorite Daughter, the Juniper Satin Duster. It’s still a higher price point, but the red color is so festive! I kind of love it!

ordering…this Red Big Bow Garland. Time to start thinking about my Christmas decor!

shopping…Nuuly! My cousin is using this clothing rental service and talked me into trying it for myself. Shopping their site now! Any clothing rental services you love?

4. My Thanksgiving Table – the details.

nine favorite things

On Friday, we shared the 2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Guide. I realized I never took the time to share details about my actual tablescape setup, so I’m doing so here today! I’ve also added this info to the menu post. I just loved this table—it’s my favorite table I’ve styled yet!

As with most years, I kept the table down to the basics using pieces I have at home: ribbons, simple white dishes, silverware, linen napkins, and then mixed in fresh florals lined down the table in place of a runner or tablecloth.

Our 2024 Thanksgiving Menu and Guide | halfbakedharvest.com

For the florals, I used smaller bud vases throughout. I used one larger arrangement that I removed for dinner and set on a side table. The turkey then replaced the larger arrangement. This allows guests to easily talk while enjoying the meal!

I used glassware I already own and muted yellow linen napkins tied simply with a ribbon and single-stem flower. They turned out so pretty!

The final detail was a pretty holiday ornament hung on each chair. I thought it would get everyone in the holiday spirit and ready to celebrate Christmas. Plus, it was so cute!

6. A Holiday Dinner with Camille Styles.

nine favorite things

This is so fun! Camille, who I’ve known for the longest time, asked me to join her on the cover of her new online magazine, Camille Styles EDIT. We shot the cutest holiday dinner in Austin using recipes from the Half Baked Harvest Cookbook.

It was one of the best days, and our dinner was so special. You can browse Camille’s new magazine here (her first issue is free). She has so many great articles, designs, and holiday tips. You can also read Camille’s piece on me and the new cookbook here (page 60). As well as view four Quick and Cozy book recipes: Baked Honeyed Brie, Garlic Mushroom Chicken Skillet, Winter Salad with Maple Walnuts, and Classic Tiramisu – all ahead of the cookbook launch!

  1. Hiiiiiiii! Do you have a link for the white pottery dishes used to serve the mashed potatoes and rolls in this year’s thanksgiving tablescape?? I didn’t see them included with the links in the post, and I am OBSESSED!

So, so excited to add the new cookbook to my collection! I am a glutton for your content!

  2. You deleted my comment, interesting given the words it contained.
Do you only delete comments you deem “nasty” when they are about you? This post is riddled with nasty comments attacking people (a frequent occurrence). Disturbingly, you seem to be ok with that. No other site’s comment section resembles a vicious snake pit. Maybe you think all engagement is good engagement.

    1. I really enjoyed the Camille Styles content and dinner party and would love to see more of that content in the future. Would you ever consider sharing similar content that isn’t an influencer event or photoshoot? Like how do you host your girlfriends at home for a normal evening?

I know influencer events are beautiful and picture perfect but seeing normal day to day hosting and styling without professional glam and staff would be great. Thanks!

      1. So happy you loved our story with Tieghan, Danielle — you’re right that it was styled for the photo shoot, but I promise that we *actually* had fun, too. 😉 But I’m with you – it’s also so fun to see people’s normal everyday gatherings! Xo

        1. I agree, Camille. I often have a fun time at work events that I attend! But definitely not the same experience as authentically entertaining friends and family at home!

    2. Playing the victim again? How ’bout this – if it offends you to see haters getting called out, maybe don’t be one. Why the hell are you even here day after day with all your lame pseudonyms? Can’t you find a life outside of being a childish internet tr0ll?

  3. Happy Autumn! I just love this time of year, don’t you?! If I preorder a signed copy of your new book, how can I be sure that I get one with Asher’s signature on it? I’ve been following you so long that it feels like I’ve watched her grow up, so it would be SOOO cool to get her signature – I mean, like, it’s your signature, but she signed it…but you know what I mean! <3

    1. Hey Karen!! Hahah! How about this, send me your address and we will send you a copy with both our signatures 😊 even better!

Have the best November week!! Xx

  4. Hi Tiegan!, happy November, can’t wait for more fall recipes! Also, your boyfriend in the first pic is so cute! I’m sure he’s so spoiled with all your yummy food! He better treat you right!

    1. That’s not her boyfriend. That’s one of her business associates. He’s also married, to another “cute” man.

    2. Hi Ellie,
Thanks so much for reading! That is not my boyfriend:) Phil is a good friend, who is also married. Happy November! xT

  5. I finish my week by reading your posts. I find it calm, relaxing and I find a lot of joy with all you share. It inspire me to be more festive and to have more details when cooking. Thanks much and I cannot wait to do the whole Thanksgiving menu (even though I am in Central America and it is not a holiday here).
I am your follower since they one (have bought your books) and congratulations on how far you have come. I LOVED the magazine where it said: ”…on her own terms” because that is have you’ve done it!!!

    1. Hi Maria,
Thank you so much for your kind message and reading each week:) I am so glad you enjoy these posts as much as I do! Wow, Central America!? that’s pretty awesome. Thanks again for being here! Have the best week! xT

  6. Hi, Tiegen!
    Love reading your Sunday posts!

I had to reply to the ridiculous comment criticizing you for putting ornaments on the chairs at Thanksgiving. There’s nothing wrong with that; in fact, that’s a very thoughtful thing for y0u to do! It’s a nice prelude to Christmas as most people will appreciate a new ornament as they put up this year’s tree as well as remembering this specialThanksgiving!!

Keep doing what you’re doing! You be you!

    1. Hi Diane,
Thank you so much for reading each Sunday:) I appreciate your feedback regarding the table scape decor, I think people should decorate how they best see fit for their guests. Have the best week! xT

  7. I am still struggling with the website crashing whenever I try to open it. Can this please be addressed? It’s not just a me problem, none of my friends can get it to work either.

Separately, I can appreciate how much time goes into these posts, but it always seems to be links to things you haven’t tried. Anyone can grab links from websites and copy/paste. Would like to see actual recommendations as opposed to dozens and dozens of links to items no one has purchased/tested.

    1. Hey Alison I am so sorry the site is crashing! What browser are you using? How long has this been happening? Can you please email me more information?

For the links, yes a lot are things I am excited about but many products I use and love! It’s definitely a mix! I will make sure to include more links to things I use daily however for sure!

      Thank you!! Xx happy November

      1. For the love of God, there are complaints on almost every post and recipe about all the ads crashing the site for people. Stop blaming them for their browser. I’ve used it on Chrome and with Microsoft, and your site is garbage on both.

Stop pretending the site isn’t the problem. It is CONSTANT complaints about the ads and difficulties scrolling. Please treat your community like adults and don’t gaslight them when they have legitimate issues that numerous other fans have asked you about, repeatedly, for years.

  8. I love this post – it is a Sunday ritual for me to read through. I think I’ve commented that here before… I suppose a testament to the enduring enjoyment this post brings 🙂 Your makeup and outfit from the CFDAs was gorgeous, T!

I already have dinner planned for today but sent the Red Wine Braised Pot Roast to my husband and his immediate response was “Sunday Dinner next week?!” We were at dinner with friends last night talking about cooking and he told the other couple I always find good recipes we make again and again through your IG, site and cookbooks.

    much love from New Hampshire(:

    1. Hi Christine,
Thank you so much for reading each Sunday, it really means so much to me! I hope your family love the pot roast, it’s the perfect Sunday meal! Aww, I truly appreciate all of your support and sharing the recipes with others! Have the best week! xT

  9. I loved the link to Camille’s online magazine, and wanted to say that intro photo of you (near the dinner table holding a glass wearing burgundy) is such a good photo!!! It feels like it should be on your website -it encapsulates perfectly the coziness of HBH!!

    1. Hi Nelly,
Thank you so much for your kind message:) Glad you enjoyed Camille’s magazine and thanks for your compliment on the photo! I hope you are having a great Sunday! xT

    2. Could not agree more – Tieghan is absolutely stunning in these photos. We had so much fun creating this piece!

  10. Why did you tell Camille that you respond to every comment? All you have to do is look at your site to know that is not true. You also told her you only delete negative comments, that is false as well. Feedback is not synonymous with negativity.

    1. Hey Jenna, I do my best to respond to every single comment. If I have missed a comment it was simply by mistake and not intentional and of course, it does happen. In general we try to respond to ALL comments. If they are urgent I try and get to it right away, if it’s not urgent I usually will respond at night when I have time. If I have missed a comment, I am so sorry! We definitely try our best! Hope this makes sense. Have the most wonderful November Sunday! xx
