Happy Sunday, everyone! This week was so great! It was a back-to-back travel week. I’m home now, but off again tomorrow for another week of travel. This week, it’s New York, then on to Palm Springs for the Inc 5000 Conference I’ll be speaking at! New York will be quick but exciting. Honestly, I wish I was going to be there a little longer. I really love Fall in the City!
I’ve never been to Palm Springs, so I’m not sure what to expect. I will say that I’m going to miss the fall weather. We all know I’m in my cozy fall zone and loving every minute of it. But I’m also very excited for this conferenceâhoping it will be great!
That’s this week! Last week was amazing. I think I’ll recap more about it below since there’s a lot to share! With the cookbook out in just about a month, things are really starting to get busy. I know we haven’t announced the book tour dates just yet, and I am so sorry! We’ve just been trying to ensure the schedule is truly buttoned up first! It’s not a massive tour, but it will leave me bouncing around from city to city for the next few months. Hopefully, I will get to meet so many of you! I can’t wait!
I’m feeling so lucky to have these opportunities! Every time I get overwhelmed, which can be often, I try to remember how lucky I am to do what I do! And just how cool it is. When my mom and I built the website back in 2012, we didn’t think anything would really come of it. I don’t know what we thought, but certainly not that we’d be growing a thriving business together, building a team, and most importantly, connecting with so many people all over the world in such a special way! It’s honestly the best and it’s always nice to think about when things begin to feel like A LOT.
Not much else to report other than I’m heavily prepping for the holidays and can’t wait! Iâve already ordered new holiday decor and it’s so cute!
Thatâs all Iâve got â Happy Sunday! Ideally, Iâll be burning a pumpkin smash candle along with an apple cider candle (the real secret is burning them together) while baking my favorite pumpkin cookies today!
1. Things iâm loving, wanting, and excited to try.
lovingâ¦
. Being a girl from Cleveland, I always love to see LeBron making his way more and more into fashion. I think it’s amazing that so many athletes are now embracing fashion and not holding themselves to a standard sporty style. It’s very cool! People can love and share many things and no one should be pinned down to just one thing.gifting/shoppingâ¦for Asher, the Coach Resin Cherry Bag Charm. This is fun! I’d stuff it in a stocking or use it for Christmas gifting. I know I said this last week, but I’m loving everything from Coach.
everything in my cart (low)â¦loving this under $200 Heritage Barn Jacket I found on Anthropologie. So cute!
H&M has some incredibly good pieces for fall/winter right now. Very into this brown Maxi Coat. It would be cute with this Cashmere Blend Turtleneck Sweater styled underneath. I’d carry the brand’s new Strap Detail Shopper with this look too!
From Zara, the perfect black Sleeveless Midi Dress for all occasions. And this incredibly cozy 100% Cashmere Sweater (my mom will buy this). And my current favorite suede bag, Zara’s Split Leather Shoulder Bag. It. Is. So good. Looks designer!
Oh, and this Relaxed Milano-Stitch Cardigan Sweater from J.Crew is so cute. It looks really warm too!

. I’m actually going to listen a second time because there are a lot of good takeaways. I have the hardest time with small day-to-day decisions.dreaming of going to…

Created a beautiful holiday dinner with Camille Styles
Found my Austin girl, Kristen. And I met some new Austin friends!
All the recipes we made are from the nest cookbook! Quick & Cozy! Camille will be sharing more details on her website in November.
Austin part 2 to come next week, too many photos to share!Â
5. Zara Home is my best-kept secret – favorite fall/early holiday picks.
I’ve said it before, but shopping Zara Home is one of my secrets. They have the best home decor and kitchen finds.
And I LOVE their holiday collectionsâthey’re so good.
Here are some new favorites!
Metal Napkin Rings with a Gold Bow Detail
Glass Herringbone Ball Christmas Tree Ornament
Christmas Pine Cone Earthenware Tableware
Scalloped Metal Christmas Candlestick
Pack of Christmas House Print Kitchen Towels
Embroidered Christmas Placemat
Striped Linen Christmas Kitchen Towel
Children’s Santa Clause Footed Romper
Children’s Fleece Christmas Blanket
Santa Clause Christmas Slippers
6. Pumpkin and Apple Cider Smash are back!
Our HBH x Snif candles are back in stock! As I mentioned above, the trick is actually burning them together, so we created a Harvest Candle Bundle. The warming cinnamon, pumpkin, and vanilla from Pumpkin Smash are delicious with the sweet notes of Honeycrisp, apples, and cider in Apple Cider Smash. It’s the perfect way to layer candle scents!

I loved Inaâs book! I highly recommend the audio version. Itâs amazing!!! I fantastic listen while traveling. Ina shares her story and you feel as if you are sitting with a dear old friend.
Iâve already preordered your book and canât wait to add it to my collection!!!
Bring on the Cozy!!!!
Hey Mel,
Thanks for reading today!! Thanks for sharing your suggestion for the audio version on Ina’s book, such a great idea, I would definitely enjoy listening! I hope you love the new cookbook, thanks for your support! Have a great fall Sunday! XxT
Tiegan,
Wondering if you received permission from the little girl’s parents, stating she came up to you alone in Chicago, to use her photo in your promotional social media platforms?
Hey Beth! The young girl was given permission to come to the event all on her own so I wasnât able to meet her parents. I asked her if it was ok to share her photo and she said of course. If the parents reach out I of course will remove this photo but felt like it was very sweet of this little girl to come and support. What a special moment!!!
Have the best weekend ahead and happiest October! Hope you are enjoying fall!
Hey Tieghan, “What a special moment!!!”
No, that’s exploitation of a child. It’s doubtful the little girl understood completely that it wasn’t just a picture you were taking, you were blasting it to millions on the internet by posting it twice, first on Instagram and now on your blog. You did not receive permission from her parents or guardian, and an underage child is not legally able to give consent.
Please be more thoughtful about your content and what you do.
Taking a picture with a young fan is not “child exploitation”. What a totally off the wall and ridiculous thing to say.
If you are going to to be removing harassing comments Tieghan, then Beth’s really needs to go. This is next level crazy.
But it kind of is. A minor can’t legally give permission. T. overstepped on this one.
No, Shirley, it isnât, and she did not. Stop with the alarmist nonsense.
Would love to see you requiring approval on the comments before they are published.
It’s a perfectly normal and innocent picture, that like many pictures on the internet, has a kid in it. The picture is fine. It’s the hysterical, dramatic, overreactive comments you should take down instead. Or as Barbara suggested, pre-screen the comments before they are posted.
Hi Tieghan! So many fun dinner parties and business dinners recently, I love to see all of your adventures! Do you have any tips for navigating these types of events when you deal with anxiety? I often find that my plate goes untouched during business dinners and parties because of how anxious I am. Any tips? How do you calm your nerves?
Hey Gina!! I can relate to this so much! I get anxious as well but itâs always the anticipation that is the worst! Usually most events and dinners turn out to be great! Just remember to be yourself. People want to talk to the real you so donât be afraid to just be you! And donât over think it! If you are nervous chances are so is everyone in the room! Just lead with kindness and youâll be happy in the end!
Also, I always, always eat a second meal after events because eating while anxious is impossible. And thatâs OK! Just grab food before or after events/dinners if thatâs what you need to do for YOU. Remember everyone is different and you have to do whatâs best for you! Take care of yourself! Hope this helps you and please reach out with anymore questions! I am so happy to help! XxT happy fall!!
Hey Tieghan! Would love to know more about how you choose the links youâre loving. I noticed you chose one this week about baby items – does this mean youâre expecting?! X
Hey Maria! I collect these links from websites I read throughout each week! I save the links in my notes app and then add them to the post when I create it!
I shared the baby name link because I know many readers may be expecting and I have many friends expecting too!
No, I am not pregnant! Thank you and have a wonderful week ahead! Happy fall!
Happy Sunday, Tieghan, Gerard fam, and HBH team! Ina Gartenâs memoir, Be Ready When the Luck Happens, is phenomenal. Iâm about halfway through and I get irritated when I have to put it down! Ina is a very gifted storyteller. Her memoir is fascinating, at times heartbreaking, and laugh out loud funny. I truly hope you love it. Have a wonderful week ahead and safe travels!
Hey Jen,
Happy Fall Sunday!! So glad you have been enjoying Ina’s memoir, thanks for sharing your feedback on it, I can only imagine how well it is written! Have the best week! xT
