I usually spend the first half of the week gathering all-new “favorites” to share. Then, I start putting that content into a draft. I work on getting everything into the post before it goes live on Sunday morning at 1 a.m. Mountain time! I love this process. It allows me time to really get everything in!
I’m sitting down to write between cleaning and packing for my next adventure! Tomorrow, I’m heading homeâhome to Cleveland! This summer, more than ever, I’m really looking forward to the trip back to the Midwest. I’ve really missed Ohio a lot this past spring and summer.
And even though we just had one of the nicest weather weeks of our entire summer here in Colorado, I’m beyond excited for the heat, sunshine, and, more than anything, the warm nights the Midwest has to offer. Plus, my family! I can’t cook much while staying at my grandparent’s home, so this frees up my time, and I get to spend time with my mom, dad, Creighton, Kai, Asher, Oslo, and everyone in town. Really looking forward to it!
So that’s what’s currently happening, but now let me backtrack to this past week and my brother Trevor’s wedding weekend. He and his now-wife Brenna got married at the studio on Saturday. They really lucked out with perfect weather. It was a beautiful day and night. It was a small, simple wedding, which made it feel even more special.
I ended up taking almost no photos and just tried to talk to everyone before the night ended. I did make two cakes: a three-layer chocolate cake with my favorite browned butter vanilla frosting and a classic three-layer chocolate cake. Nothing fancy, but they turned out good, and both got eaten!
The entire wedding weekend really flew by. As usual, there was so much chaos, but it all turned out lovely. It was busy, though!
Things have been slightly overwhelming between the wedding, moving from the studio space to both work and live in my house, and now traveling for another wedding. I’m still trying to get into a workflow at home, so this past week was harder than others. But I’m getting there. And the light in my house is stunning towards the very end of the day, so that’s a big bonus!
Okay, and let’s see. This week is a travel week. I’m in Cleveland through the weekend, then heading into New York for a quick one-night stay before I head home. Then, the following week, I’m in the Hamptons! I am very excited! We have an event with Wölffer Estates that I’m hosting. It should be fun and so pretty! I’ve never been to the Hamptons.
Lastly, the wedding left me with ALL the flowers, and you guys – they really made my week. The florist, Maddie, owner of Lady Sunshine Floral, had the prettiest dahlias in her bouquets. I requested them all after the wedding, and for the following six days, I lived in the happiest dahlia-filled home. It made my entire week! What are you enjoying this summer?
Hope you enjoy another round of Sunday favs! I’m sharing my Amazon Prime Day pick + Nordstrom sale picks too! It’s a big month for summer sales!
lovingâ¦head scarves for summer. This printed leopard square scarf is fun, and the horse carriage print silk square scarf from Coach is so classy. Or splurge on a Gucci scarf, they’re so classic. My favorites include the printed silk-twill scarf, silk-satin jacquard scarf, and the floral-print silk-twill scarf in black and white.Â
wantingâ¦this pretty marble bowl from Anthro. You all, next week, I think I need to do a big Anthro pull for us. They have so many good pieces arriving for fall and sneak peeks for holiday entertaining, too!
everything in my cart (low)â¦love these Amazon The Drop relaxed pull-on linen shorts. I’ll be wearing these for the remainder of summer. Amazon really does have it all. They would look cute with these wrap sandals from Free People and or these lace-up sandals from J.Crew.Â
From Zara, this satin midi dress is super cute and would be great for a wedding. I’m also loving their embroidered midi dress, but it’s currently sold out. But this embroidered poplin dress is cute too! And I’m obsessed with this maxi basket bag. Chic.Â
Lastly, Reformation shorts. I’d get these comfy linen shorts (I’d get the sun-dried tomato or white colors) or this knit short, too (I’d get the custard or poppyseed colors).Â

I want to try out the new Rhode Skin Pocket Blush, and I will always love both the ILIA Multi-Stick Cream Blush + Highlighter + Skin Tint and Westman Atelier Cream Blush Stick.

I might spend most of free my time snarking and lurking here, but this week I did genuinely enjoy your 9 favorite things! Really beautiful stuff
I thought you were back in Cleveland, as there was a lot of activity last weekend at the Amsdell house.
Iâve made so many of your recipes, Teighan, and your cousin Erin told me about your site years ago.
Thanks for all you do!
